Gilchrist in 1999, Gilchrist in 2003 , Gilchrist in 2007... Australia used to save him for final and he relentlessly hammered akhter ,Wasim ,zaheer ,srikant, kumble,saqlain, murli ,vaas in all three final match ...He was nightmare for fast bowlers

Inzimam was never out. It was an umpiring error. Inzi has been the consistent performer for Pakistan in ICC events. If inzi Stays for 15-20 overs, the story could have been different

I m from india.. i was a huge fan of Pakistani team on that time 1999..Pakistan team looked favorite to win wc 1999 but unfortunately they lost wc 1999 final..after that Pakistani team collapsed still now ..now i don't watch Pakistani team..on that time, my fav Pakistani players were shoaib, saeed anwar, imzy,youhana, wasim sir, Akhtar, mussy, so many legends on that time..i had never imagined that Pakistan team lost that final..bad luck Pakistan team..in wc final, semi final only england can beat mighty aussy if they meet together..aussy is so brutal once they reach semi final and final in any global tournaments.. they are still unbeatable team once they reach final..wasim sir is my fav leader from Pakistan team ..❤❤❤❤

Crazy to think that if Klusner had hit another boundary or Waugh was caught in the group stage, the Australian empire would have never happened. They were soo strong that they didn't have Warne in 2003 yet they dominated. Many say India 2023 was similar but the truth is you just can't compare to this dream team

Its almost scary how coincidental the 99 world cup is with the 2023 world cup, just replace Pakistan with India. 1. In both world cups, the tournament favourite's(India/Pakistan) lost to a barely qualifying Australia in the finals humiliatingly. 2. In both World cups, Australia squeezed past South Africa in the semis 3. In both world cups New Zealand lost badly to India/Pakistan in the semis. 4. In both world cups, India/Pakistan first beat Australia in the round robin but lost to them in the finals. I could think of the above, but I guess there can be more.
