Day 9 - FLOATING MEMORIAL ORNAMENT ON TRANSPARENCY: Learn how to prepare your photo and add the memorial saying to your ornament shape using Print Then Cut feature. Create 1 floating memorial ornament on transparency in 4” Flat Disc Ornament.

Hello, I've been wanting to try this for awhile, I've been peeking in at your crafts off and on for awhile... I just haven't had the time to get started, but that is about to change. I assume you print on the textured side. With my printer, the smooth side looks better after I printed on the rough side. So I flipped my picture in Cricut before printing, so the text is reversed. Then the smooth side text is the "correct" side and looks better. Thank you for the video on how to do this.

Wonderful video, I love how you explain step by step! I made these last year and had 2 problems I was hoping u could help me with. When I had 4 different designs on 1 canvas my DS kept telling me it was too large and was freezing up. If I want to cut them myself to fit more on one sheet of transparency how would I do that? Thanks

Hi Sandy - Because of the size limitations of Print Then Cut area at 6.75 X 9.25 you will only be able to get 3 maxium on one sheet of the 8.5X11 transparency. Cricut will want to just put 2 on mat but you can fudge that alittle by creating a 6.75X9.25 rectangle on your design space screen and then moving 3 of the transparency images you want to fit on to that rectangle..I did two on far left of the page and 1 over on the right side. Just make sure they all fit within the rectangle. Then delete the rectangle, Group the 3 images and select Attach in the layers panel. Now when you send to do Print Then Cut you can atleast get 3 on one sheet instead of 2. Hope this helps.

You don't need the flat bulbs you can use a round clear ornament i was making these back the the 90s.

Dona Curtis hi. Just click on the Design Space Project link in the video description and it will open up on your design space account. Do this from the computer and it’s easier.

To download a font to your ipad, you need to have a font app called, Anyfont. Then you will be able to do that

it will automatically have print once you click make it. i just made my first one but mine was 3.5 inches so the pic was too big. i am working on another one as i type. good luck

Any clear transparency film for inkjet printers would work. There are other brands to try less expensive now on Amazon. Just make sure it’s the clear kind and print on the rough side of the film.
