Cricut Explorer Tutorial -Basics 101

In this tutorial I will show you how to navigate around the Cricut Explorer Cutter. This is for the beginner to get you started on cutting strips of paper.
As I mention in the video, I have 2 Different Cutting machines. The Brother cut and scan and than The Cricut in which I prefer for my projects.
I love both of them but Cricut makes a bit easier to purchase supplies, you can find them in any craft store and Walmart. The Brother cut and scan, I have found , needs to be ordered online. If you own a Brother please feel free to comment below and share any new updates.
I am making a basic bicone shape with my Cricut.
The Mat I am using is a 12x12 and also purchased at Walmart for $13.99
You can also check out my other Cricut tutorials on how to keep your mat clean and free of particles to last you longer.
There will be another tutorial coming out on how to create a SVG file and upload them.
I hope you learned something from this video today and I am here to answer all your questions. Just remember , to be patient with yourself , there is a learning curve but once you get it, you will be HOOKED. There is so much more to create than just paper!

Hi Gina. I am brand spanking new to Paper beads and I have totally enjoyed all your tutorials here on KZfaq. I have a Cricut Explore Air 2 but haven't used it in a while...and always used it for Vinyl. But with your tutorials it is all coming back to me. I would like to know if you sell the SVG template files though. I would like to jump in making the beads with the thought that I would create templates once I get going making the beads...so thought it would be nice to have a few already made Cricut SVG templates. Thank you so much! - Lynda

Cricut offers classes. I made a few cricut tutorials but did but have the time to create anymore. My plans are to offer classes but not anytime soon. I would love to teach how to use the cricut but my time does not allow me .Running My small business (belliebeaads.com)has been growing very fast and requires so much attention. Try the classes they offer and honestly just playing around with the canvas in cricut I learned more. Good luck and enjoy!! Thank you for the support if my channel

I loved this tutorial you made it so plain and simple. I have been trying for months now to find a tutorial for my Brother Cut and Scan. Could you do the same on your Brother Cut N Scan so I can use my machine? I would love a tutorial on how to make the designs so I can do the same thing as you are doing on the Circuit. I really don't have the money to buy another cutting machine. I am already subscribe to your channel and have watched several of your videos already.

Hi Sharon. I love my Cricut so much I went and purchases another one but this one works on Wi-Fi. I would love to help you but I no longer use my brother cut and scan because it was so cumbersome for me. I only used it a few times and I'm sure its just the basics that you already know. Have you tried searching the brother cut and scan tutorials?

Bellie Beads Yes and have still not seen any of what I am seeking. I have purchased templates from Dina and Kelly but they don’t have videos how to do it. I asked them but they never give me an answer. Thank you for responding.

You mentioned that you would make a tutorial on using SVG files. Have you made it yet? This tutorial was very informative and helped me tremendously in working with my Cricut Explorer Air 2. Thank you. Jerry👩🏻👍🏻⚜️

is there only one kind of circuit explorer and what is the exact one you have. i love your channel.

Thank you for your support of my channel. Yes , Cricut has many different ones to choose from . I have 4 of them. I started out with just the Cricut Air than moved up to Cricut explorer Air 2 that works on Bluetooth. I would highly recommend visiting thier site and see which one works for you.
