I decided to make these and they came out great! Thank you for the idea! I did make double-sided bookmarks like you did but I did not join them together in design space as my faux leather sheet was not long enough. But it seemed easier to me to cut out 2 separate pieces anyway. I used regular white glue and inserted a piece of thicker cardstock between the 2 pieces of faux leather to make it slightly more sturdy. After the glue dried I machine stitched close to the edge all the way around. This last step made all the difference! It looks professional!

They are so Beautiful great Idea. I made some for my grandson School mates. I don’t have the new Cricut I have the very First Personal Cricut And I was given the Expression Cricut by a friend an I was told that by Design Space that I can’t use my expression Cricut on the design Space. But I do make a lot of other things and I have a lot of Cartridges am 72 yrs old an this is my favorite thing to do. ❤️❤️❤️

I love my Kindle when I travel - much easier and less bulky but these are perfect for bookworms! Our women’s church group meet for lunch, collecting books and other things such as socks and blankets/warm throws to donate to our local senior center. Making a bookmark is a perfect a small gift to add to each book. Thank you!!! - Lynn

Very cute! I would have done the iron on with the bookmark folded, (to get a more crisp fold) & would have ironed the whole front, in case the heat affected the texture. I would also put the owner’s name on the back, in case it gets misplaced. Thanks for the great ideas! ❤️😊

I know I'm late to the game but wanted to suggest using a small crochet hook to push through the hole and pull out whatever you use for a tassel. I would rather have a smaller hole that holds onto the material. Thank you for the great tutorial and hope you're now able to read with both hands.

This is a great tutorial! I’m trying this out for the first time and I’ve followed the steps to duplicate/rotate/weld the bookmark but my Cricut still cuts out two separate pieces. Any suggestion on what I need to adjust? Thanks!

I want to add a monogram to my daughter & granddaughter's on the back of the double sided bookmark either with the vinyl used on the front or using the deboss feature. I'm assuming I would add it to the top one but put it upside down?

I have a question: I tried making the bookmark and after I ironed the everyday iron on, it left, like a boarder of the liner on the faux leather...there isn't any residue but its as if the heat embossed the lining to the faux leather. This has happened twice. I followed your instructions, including the heating and movement directions of the mini iron. On the first bookmark I did use parchment paper and on the second one, I used a teflon sheet but the end result was that embossment of the lining from the everyday iron on. Thanks for your help.

I’m new to owning a circuit and I’m wondering how often do you replace blades? Where can I buy replacements ?

It purely depends on how often you use your machine and what you’re cutting, but I’ve found my blades last a long while. You can purchase replacements on Cricut’s website or wherever cricut supplies are sold. Hope this helps!

I ordered the same faux leather, using the same mat, settings, star wheels are to the right, etc. and my machine still will not cut all the way through the material. I've had it repeat the cut 3 times and it still will not cut all the way through. Any ideas?
