I love my Maker! I have the Air 2 but it’s in storage for another 3 months! I just got a great deal in a Maker to arrive tomorrow; gifting it to my mom so she can learn! Can’t wait to see her face!

I kinda don't know which either, and it's so timid and frustrating, as I watch more and more videos on them, I'm now convinced that I would have the joy and the maker. I'm at the point of starting off with the joy, then later saving to get the maker. I'm looking for a machine to design wine glasses and mugs and later down the line t.shirts. Which is the best way to go for a first time cutting design machine user and buyer, any suggestions?

I have the Maker, but could have gotten the Explore and been very happy with it. I cut regular vinyl and HTV-paper once. I do not have any use for the Joy. What to buy depends on what you will cut.

Okay so I primarily want to make custom shirts, coffee mugs, and masks/headbands. Which would you personally choose for this? I like the idea of the joy because it’s smaller so it won’t take up as much space but I’m worried it won’t be big enough for larger designs on shirts

Thank you! This clears up so much about the individual features. I have one of the original cricut machines and thought about upgrading to the explore. Then I saw the joy and thought that would be nice for quick projects with no mat. Seeing all of these together and the features they have made it clear as for which one would be best for me. My choice. My original machine. While all of these are wonderful and provide a wide variety of features, my machine is exactly what I need as I am a crafter for fun and not profit. Plus I only craft when I have time to make projects for hours on end. So thank you for the clarity, but I won't be upgrading at this time. I'm sure that these are perfect machines for someone else though.

Hello! This video is so helpful, but I’m wondering if the circuit joy would be a good choice if I’m only planning on making decals for like my binders and such? Also does the circuit joy only work with the smart vinyl, by circuit or can I get any brands of vinyl and just cut it down to the right size?

About to buy a cricut, decided to get more info on different machines, clicked on "Cricut Joy vs Explore Air 2 vs Maker", and it starts with: "if you have no idea what the cricut machine is...". Why would i ever click on a video trying to learn about the DIFFERENCE if i had no idea what is cricut. If I am watching this video im probably about to buy one myself and I most definitely know what it is if I am contemplating $250 or $400 machine!

Explore, it Is better to have the size for the shirts. You can do anything with it and it’s TOTALLY worth it for the little bit more money

If I wanted to make some rubber or foam stamps, which one should I get? Cricut Maker? Can the joy cut out images on thin foam sheets that I could potentially stick together to create a cheaper stamp until I can afford one of the other upgrades? I really want to create stickers, stamps and images to tshirt transfer. I imagine the joy is limited in size but if I really wanted to create a A4 design I could potentially cut that by hand as it would be minimal. I think my issue would be if the maximum size for T-shirt transfer would be smaller than A5 where I’d only be able to create much smaller designs. I want to eventually get the maker I think because of the fabric cutting options where I have a bunch of designs I would like to make ready made packs of for my charity workshops. Is there anyway I could cut any thin type of fabric or felt on the joy for the time being?

Hi this video was very informative. However, I am torn between the Cricut Joy and the Maker. I make 5x7 cards at times but it seems that size is too large for the joy. I also have some images I want to upload that are larger than the Joy format. I just really like the compactness of the Joy. Anyone have any other ideas?
