FINALLY found my favorite lead-in frame at :59 where the BAR is blasting away and leaves this tremendous muzzle flash inside a casino. Insane but great.

@@tieroneactual2228 who is "our?" You mean you've got a woman who favors BARs? Wow, that'd be a dream.

I don't remember much about this show I was young when my dad use to watch it. I do remember well the entrance and this song. So much so that all the lyrics have been tattooed on my brain since childhood. Something I don't think I'll ever forget.

Only two seasons... we just weren’t ready for this greatness yet. Much better than the show it followed Miami Vice.

Would love to see Michael Mann redo this. And I don’t like remakes, lol

Love the scene at 0:14 just 5 tough guys bringing the artillery to take down bad guys. They don’t make cops or cop shows like this anymore.

There's another opening cut that's not here. The fellow who is the rifleman in wielding a 30 carbine and jumps out with the group and lets off a 8 shot blast; for a split second you can see all the empties in the air, then the scene cuts.

The actor who played Detective Joey Indelli, Bill Campbell, later played mayoral candidate Darren Richmond in "The Killing."

Great show I have all the shows on DVD. Al Kooper ( BST) was in charge of all the music. Al knows his shit. Al was a teacher at Berklee of Music in Boston and I went to Berklee. We met in Detroit and talked about Crime Story and when he was with BST.

My favorite part was the uppercut punch that sent that dirt bag to the floor.

Agreed...You have to watch the whole scene...and see how it unfolds at the conclusion. Taken right out of the Mike Torello 'handbook'..

I was a kid when I watched this show...but I remember that punch...and that that dude was a piece of shit who had it coming.

Mine as well. It was added to the opening credits later in season two after that particular episode aired.

Was that Mike or Joey that punched that dirt bag? Couldn’t tell.

Is that muzzle blast at :59 (might have to play with it) a blank. man, that is certainly realistic. I wonder if that's Smitrovich still manning that weapon? He had it and was chambering a round earlier in the video as the gang is walking through the casino. I'd love to ask Bill S about that scene!

0:14 for cops in the 60s, carrying a huge machine gun for a raid was bit over excessive.
