is the dude that escaped from the van at mt eden prison ANTONHY DIXON? as in the dude that shot the guy and attacked the girls with the sword in later years?

Tiana Tofilau joined the Crimewatch team as co-anchor in 1994 (replacing Carol Hirschfeld), but was replaced a year later by Mairanga White. Ian Johnstone had anchored Crimewatch from 1987 until it ended in 1996, and was deemed irreplaceable during its 10 year run.

0:48 Tony Dixon! Convicted like 9 years later in that samurai sword attack and police stand off.Severed one girls hand and hacked the others arms almost off.... then shot someone dead. Probably should have kept him inside.
