I'm more excited for this than I've ever been for a movie. I can't believe it has been since ExistenZ since we have had some Cronenberg body horror, but also for me it's not about the gore or sexuality. David Cronenberg has always had something to say and I have found that what he usually has to say reflects our culture more than we may like or feel comfortable with.

I struggle to truely enjoy Cronenberg’s films but I appreciate that he always has a point to make. His film are articulate, intelligent and well acted. I do find him a very clinical, sober and uncompromising director. I find his films in general cold, distant and difficult to connect with but I cannot deny he is a master of his craft. I’ll always watch his films and appreciate them but have never felt it to be a pleasant experience…..something I think he intends. His warmest film emotionally for me was the Fly…..and that had inverted Gibbons(?) and a guy having appendages melted off. Go figure

“The world is a much more dangerous place now that pain has all what disappeared” wow, this line sold it for me, it says enough about the plot and still leaves you intrigued

It turns the concept of pain becoming pleasure, as in Hellraiser, on to its head. If there is no pain, how will you know pleasure, its direct opposite?

David Cronenberg has never tried to adhere to the conventions of filmmaking and this looks very weird. I expected nothing less. He says the final 20 minutes will make people sick. Great👍

uhavemooface16 күн бұрын
I will still be watching it. I just don't think I will be at the theater because there will be so many people there and its so loud in there. Might have to wait until it comes out online or on dvd to watch it. And you can't pause it in the theater. I can't wait to watch it. He is saying people will walk out of the theater within the first five minutes.

This looks so good I will be watching my first horror film after years of not watching any. I will not be walking out of the theater because I don't know if I will be going to the theater to watch this movie. We will watch it at home. One of my favorite actors is in it. Viggo Mortensen is such a great actor. I have seen many of his movies. Kristen stewart I have only seen a couple of hers but she is a great actress. The cast that they chose for this movie was an excellent one. I can't wait to see it.

The movie opens with a mother murdering her baby. Cronenberg has said this is crucial to the plot, but I can imagining people walking out, especially if it’s graphic.

Well, that's just the classic statement, people leaving because of panic attacks or heart attacks or whatever is something that's been said about movies scary movies for a while, there'll always be audiences which will be triggered, for a fan of the genre they'll probably enjoy it even if made feel uncomfortable.

at first glance, if I had to refer to Cronenberg's, past movies based on this trailer, I'd say it looks like a mix of Crash with Existenz. Him coming back to the style he spearheaded and towered above all else is, of course, an event unto itself. Cronenberg is to body horror what George Romero is to the zombie genre. An obvious and necessary reference point. Will, definitely watch it, how could I not?
