This week, the Public Order team show us how they've been managing policing the town centre on a saturday night. Adopting a new high visibility policy where they approach disorderly pedestrians early before an actual crime occurs. This leads to some interesting confrontations....

actualy had a familure thing happen got something stolen off me i found half of it 3 blocks away from me phoned police they told me to leave it and go home actualy thretend to send someone out to get me and stop me from taking it back evan tho they new i had it on cctv a perfect face picture aswell there answer no car reg no help from us ... so i went home got a tool of sorts came back put some improv racing stripes down his car next day the fuckwitt 1 nocks on my door to return the entire stolen item trying to blag that he didnt steal them someone else did and gave them too him (same guy on camera that pulled it off my car fuckwitt 1)..... true story.... lesson learned..... dont rely on police......... be as fearsome as doom guy........ i didnt do this clandestinely i parked across from him after spotting my parts (fuckwitt 2) stairing him down sat in his car lad was panicing on and off the phone to someone for about 30min thats when he finaly got out his car i went over checked what i saw was mine then i called the police and the rest happend in full veiw off fuckwitt 2......... was 2 of them with same car as me stole my parts put half on each of there cars.....hole item was only 20quid on ebay new lol

I see two differences between police from the UK and the USA: 1) UK police are more focused on solving problems between people than looking to arrest people and 2) if they do arrest, it's because they see a direct issue with public safety--arrest is reserved for true law breakers. In Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, a fight in a bar means jail....period. Arrests based on such social issues are expensive and unnecessary.

Think it's partially a cultural thing. If the police arrested everyone in the UK who through a punch in a club or pub on a Friday night then they'll be no room left in the cells.

I find it difficult to reconcile these police officers attempting to keep order amonst crowds of inebriated young people, with the job of 900 police officers in the Met, who comb through posts on social media, day after day, searching for posts which might be deemed to be offensive to a few weak souls.

I'd suggest whoever was filming be investigated as he/she seemed a tad obsessed with filming lasses boobs and backsides! Other than that, I think it's about time the fine for a public order offense be increased, £80 is a bit of a joke. £200, say, might just make pissheads take a look at their behaviour.
