The irony is RG werewolves was the deck I won with one of my drafts. 2 players passed Tovolar, which I am equally happy to take and equally baffled why they passed such an awesome card.

It's definitely a very good or horrible type if situation since you really needed a handful of high quality cards or it just didn't work

Yeah, it might've got even more shafted than in MID.

I think it's probably why you need to be smart with deckbuilding if you go down that route by not relying too much on high toughness stuff.

Seven mana for something that wins in 3 turns is probably not broken in constructed. Since it’s the creature side in hands and graveyards, you can’t really cheat it into play as the enchantment. You just get the creature. I think that means it’s fine, but maybe I’ll be surprised.

@@NizzahonMagic it's an alternative win condition. Considering how many of the other alternative win conditions have been broken, I feel like where there's a will to break something, there's a way, especially if a blue/white prison deck shows up. Or could be put into already existing prison decks in formats with more cards.

@@samuelrussell5760 I wasn't thinking just constructed, I'm thinking of the formats with extra turns, proliferation, and prison decks. Is an alternative win condition, so I'd be more surprised if it got 0 top 8s in anything before the year is out.

@@aaronbasham6554 There's a big gap between "it will probably make some top 8s" and "it's going to be banned soon." I think it can find a home in some control decks since it can defend you early and later be a win condition. But there are probably better win conditions for control decks. The main reason that I don't think it will be broken and banned is that I don't think there is a way to get around paying seven mana to get it into play as the enchantment. That will be a huge limitation. If it works out that you can cheat the enchantment into play, I could see it getting banned.
