Been on no less than a dozen cruises (NCL, Royal, Celebrity, and Princess). We booked Virgin in the Mediterranean next year and soooo looking forward to it. I’m tired of the same old boring cruise entertainment and buffets. Wifey and I love the word play and innuendo’s.

Hey Morgan. Loved your take on Virgin Voyages. I took my 22 year old son on the Scarlet Lady in January. We didn't go to many shows due the risquéness (is that even a word). Definitely a different type of cruise line. The food was delicious though. I would go again but with my wife instead of my adult children.

Noom again …I always get noom…I’m starting stress my weight here Morgan ! Lastime I was invited to a secret show, it consisted of a room with mattresses on the floor and clothing optional . I tend to avoid secret or surprise shows..lol Micro……..

As always, you've given us a thorough and thoughtful review. I was not inclined to go on a Virgin Voyage anyway - based on their advertising, but now I can easily say that there is not even a micro chance that I will be going on VV. Many of these things that some people may find entertaining or exciting, would drive me crazy. Lack of communication, pop-up noisy stuff (which seems to happen more and more on all cruise lines), aggressive interactive entertainment, and pointless chaotic shows would probably have me leaving the ship early at whatever port had a flight home. I appreciate your candidness and objectivity in pointing out that there was true talent. I think you are correct - that much of this may attract a certain audience. Oh, and the glass bathroom door sealed the deal that I will not be booking a VV.

I always appreciate your honesty in your videos. I don't think Virgin is the cruise line for me. I would not consider myself a prude at all cursing and sexual humor are fine with me but I am a pretty big intervert with some social anxiety. When I go on a cruise I just want to relax , see some beautiful sites, and eat some great food. I felt the same way hearing people talk about the Star Wars "cruise " experience at Disney World. It sounds like a lot of fun it is just not for me.

I loved the untitleddanceshowpartything and Duel Reality. Had a hunch I wouldn't enjoy NSA as I really don't like things involving audience participation so we didn't go, and you've confirmed I made the right decision! Loved all the live music we saw too. Agree with you on the lack of communication and not knowing what's going on. We felt like we missed quite a lot as we just weren't in the right places at the right time for all the little micro shows that happened around the ship. Which is a bit irritating when you've paid the same as everyone else. Virgin has some faults but they seem to treat their staff much better than some other cruise lines, have amazing food, and the fact that they are adults only means they are still right at the top of the list for me.

This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I immediately subscribed. I still want to try VV, but I appreciate the insight into the entertainment. Shows are an integral part of a cruise for me and my husband. We would really want to know what entertainment is happening when rather than a scavenger hunt approach. Would like to try a VV when we can find a micro price. Thanks for a great video.

Catching up on some of your videos and wow! Had no idea what Virgin Cruises were. It seems to be a micro viewing of Miami blended with Vegas. I am a small town girl living in a small town world and I would definitely not enjoy the entertainment on this ship. At least the shows you reviewed. Social anxiety would just get the best of me. Glad you had fun and would go again. Thanks for letting us know what it is all about.

I just came back from a virgin cruise in March. I agree with about 80 % of what you said. I enjoyed the ship overall. The show duel reality was confusing and didn't make much sense, I did enjoyed the drag show. Carlos was a one man show. Very talented. Best show on the ship. The scarlet night wasn't as good as I expected. The pajama party was fun and the entertainment crew made us feel included. One thing to mention due to the risqué shows and the amount of LGBTQ guests that are consistently book in each voyage if you are not open minded DONT GO. I felt very comfortable and no one care if I was a bad or good dancer. Great atmosphere with everyone being and letting be. I already book my next virgin cruise Aug 18 but I have to say I missed watching full dance and songs productions.

I have watched quite a few videos from different vloggers that have gone on a Virgin cruise and at times I think it may be fun to do and at other times I wouldn't be caught caught dead on a Virgin cruise. I appreciate your various views on Virgin and it gives me a micro view of all aspects as opposed to a minimalist view from some others. I also like good entertainment and don't think I would much care for the pop-up variety on Virgin and would definitely not like the NSA show. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on Virgin, very informative.

I completely agree with so many parts of this video. I found it really difficult at times to look forward to the shows due to having absolutely no idea what it was going to be. While I, admittedly, found it quite refreshing for my 4 day cruise, I do think I’d get a little fed up of the uncertainty / unpredictability if I was onboard for any more than a week or so. Will be very interested to see how the entertainment world pans out for Virgin - if they do choose to go more ‘normal’ with stage shows, they’re going to need to look at a new venue too, as I didn’t see a typical theatre onboard…

I was on the maiden voyage of Scarlet Lady. back in August last year. I enjoyed most of the entertainment on board.. As far as the DSA so was concerned I found it to be fairly amusing. Yes it was quite smutty and a bit cringeworthy in places but overall not a bad way of spending an hour of my time. I think we Brits are less offended by this sort of humour than many other nationalities. We have a long history of smutty humour. This goes back to the rude Victorian seaside postcards, through the series of Carry On films in the 60s and 70s up to TV today such as nude dating programs et cetera. We are not easily shocked of offended. It wasn’t by any means the best show. I have ever seen on a cruise ship and I probably wouldn’t rush to see it again if I go on another Virgin voyage. However at no time was I embarrassed or offended by any of it’s content.

Micro points on my part: I like elevator music or calming spa music (if it's not the same piece repeated _ad infinitum_ ) but techno in my earholes when not expecting it is not my idea of a relaxing cruise.

What? No Celebrity Cruises? Hint for you: As long as you are honest. don't make excuses for your opinion! As a cruise travel agent I found your review extremely informative. I will be on the Scarlet Lady in June, so I will be interested in seeing how the two ships match up. I have my doubts about the staying power of a a product that seems lacking in so many ways (the shows being a major one).

From the very first Virgin ship launch I thought that this ship and whole Virgin cruise style looks and feels like a swingers club or at least a club for very free thinking lifestyle people who are looking for sex. And there is nothing wrong with it. But. Virgin just, so say, trying to sit on two chairs. At the same time they are acting like a swingers club but does not admit it and continue to act as a regular adult cruise line with nothing special just a bit "spicy". And that confuses people and makes them choose a wrong cruise...

Yeah... we missed all sorts of stuff on Scarlet Lady cruise. Second one out of Miami. Never got in touch with our Sailor Services person... we were lost most of the trip. We still would like to go again. But hope they update some of the entertainment. More transparency would be better.

As someone who likes to micro-manage my cruise days based on the daily planner, Virgin is definitely not for me! The adults only aspect was so appealing at first but your in depth videos were extremely helpful in deciding I would not enjoy that type of cruise. You’re the best.

Love your comments and critiques. I'm glad I was not the only one who was not impressed by Duel Reality. But at least you got to see more shows that I did. I managed to see only 1 and half show. That 1 full show was the Duel Reality and the half show was the subpar Ships in the Night - that was previously cancelled due to technical issues. When I did see re-scheduled show, the sound stopped halfway through the show and that was that - the END. It wasn't very good anyway - kind of a high school level production. And the reason I only saw 1.5 shows was that all the other shows were fully booked. Oh well! I do love most of the food on Virgin - the variety, more so than the quality which for a foodie like me, was hit and miss but more hits than misses. I'm giving Virgin a 2nd shot to impress me more in October on their Trans-Atlantic. Join me, Morgan! Oh, the secret word is Micro. 😄

Thank you for another great video Morgan! I just sailed on the Scarlet Lady last week and agree that the NSA show made me uncomfortable. I'm not a prude at all, not even a micro bit of a prude, but found parts of the show distasteful. At one point we were all asked to get up and find a stranger and describe to them an erotic fantasy we have. That was not something I felt comfortable doing, so didn't participate, and others must have felt the same way because we saw some people leave the show altogether. Other people I know loved the show and even participated on stage so I guess it is all what you feel comfortable with and find entertaining.

Very good non-micro review. I wouldn't say I would never go on Virgin Voyages after watching your various videos on it, but they've moved down on my wish list, and I would definitely never go to the sexologist's show. (I also don't think I'd be up to follow any entertainment from room to room either - I kind of like to just sit, digest and be entertained after dinner.) Here's my question - if you just wanted to go and find a place with some music and you didn't want to have to be Sherlock Holmes, was there something like that available? A room that reliably had a band, or a guitarist, or a pianist at night? Thanks for the great job.

Another informative video. The shows sound fun. I don't think I would mind them. But I'm not ok with the audience participation situation. That would give me anxiety. If you politely decline their invitation, that should be it! I wouldn't appreciate being builied into it one micro bit!

If I’ve spent a good amount of money for a cruise VACATION, I want to turn my brain off and leave everyday life at home. I certainly don’t want to feel that I need to participate and to be uncomfortable, nor trying to figure out where the entertainment is. Give me a broadway show, a good comedian, magician, singers, dancing etc. Micro thinking for a week! Food, drinks, beaches, ocean views is better for me. I got put on the spot by a woman attack comedian, asked me last time I was with a woman cause I am old, no shit. I told her 2005 some 15 years before. She said "Damn, that's along time, can't get it up? Gay?" and I answered, "No, because a cunt ain't worth the bitch that comes with it!" Talk about the sound going micro-quiet except a few guys laughing including my brother who knew that really was why I quit sex, she turned away and went off on another tangent. Usually I just say I'm through trying to make a woman happy when I don't want too anymore.

I heard the shows needed some work. I'm glad you added spoilers to these acts so when I cruise with them I know what to expect. I think the Tittycaca show seems interesting. I'm a fan of drag queens, pop ups and secret shows! The NSA show sounds fascinating yet scary! If there wasn't pressured participation, I'd like to watch it. Hope they change that aspect in the future.

micro, also question, i've watched all your virgin videos as i'm planning a trip and i get the feeling you didn't enjoy the experience. i'm not sure if this is because you really want to inform people so you're really trying to communicate what's different, or if it was a really bad cruise. travel guide job aside, did you enjoy yourself?

Yes! We had a good time! We would prefer other cruise lines, but would definitely cruise with Virgin again if the price was right!

Captain Morgan! Lovely to see your videos but you just gave me more reasons NOT to cruise with Virgin EVER. If I am cruising I want to be properly entertained and not be insulted at my non-participation nor made uncomfortable by its content. There is not enough incentive for me to ever cruise with Virgin. Clue word: Micro It may refer to a cruise where there is max 24 passengers(?)

Sounds like Virgin is trying to hard to be different but maybe that's their intent... to limit "sailors" to a specific audience. Thanks for your candid micro review.

To each their own. I absolutely loved NSA in NYC many years ago. Sounds exactly the same. After the NYC show she set up an after party at a bar near by where you got to chill with her and the cast members and audience through out the night. Very fun night but again to each their own. They did have a separate set up where you had participants and audience members where they would seat you based on whether you would want a chance to be on stage or not. It wasn't so in your face unless that's the experience you wanted

micro . I am from the USA and we will be on the Barcelona to Ibiza cruise June 19 . So far NO reviews are up any of the the Med cruise yet? I only see the Carib cruise reviews or the England to Med ones . At 65% capacity it should be a good time as I hope the Euro sailors are a more interesting group then the US sailors.

I got a PSA not to vape and an ad for Busch Gardens new coaster. Love this content - thanks for doing it. Finished watching - sounds like entertainment designed for someone in a different demographic from me. I would not wish to be called names. I am not a fan of see through glass shower doors across from mirrors - the toilet thing sounds like yet another Circle of Hell (and not a micro one either).

Morgan, like others I always appreciate your candid thoughts and comments on your channel. This lady and her sisters are clearly not for everybody! The entertainment sounds way too random and personal for the majority of its guests. We as paying passengers should not be the entertainment, and it’s disgusting that Virgin designs it to embarrass its guests and make them uncomfortable.

I just didn't understand who that NSA show was supposed to appeal to. Maybe if the host was more "chummy" and less aggressive, it would have been easier to let lose and enjoy.

Morgan, thanks for the information about Virgin. After seeing your video, I wouldn't go on a Virgin cruise if Virgin paid me to go on one of their cruises. 0:01 I guess we know what the letter "A" in Doctor "A" stands for 👀
