Zu behaupten, Crippled Black Phoenix sei einfach eine Rockband, würde der Sache nicht gerecht. Ihre vielschichtigen Soundgewitter bezeichnet das personell eher lose zusammengesetzte Kollektiv aus dem englischen Bristol selbst als „Endzeitballaden“. Das Resultat ist an Intensität und Heftigkeit schwerlich zu überbieten und in seiner Kompromisslosigkeit nicht weniger als bewundernswert.

should've kept this guy in the band, he's way better than the one they got now. volk was great but Vistic did great.

Vocalist here : "JOHN E VISTIC" ... brilliant for this band ...any other vocalist they tasted didn t match with them like him ...he was the best for them .... and this band is the best for him ....what a pity they didn t repeat it again ...................

Damn, interesting that you say this... I feel exactly the opposite way. Vistic is absolutely tone-deaf and draws too much attention to himself. For me, Volk was the best lead singer -- a bit introverted, too the point, with great vocal range. Greaves said in interviews that Volk was terrible to work with though, so I guess them splitting up was inevitable.
