You should start playing any other game unite is no more playable full of bugs,randumbs,unblanced pokemon some very strong some very weak, pikachu doesnt evolve into raichu whats the reason behind it , They take too much time to add new pokemons We only have one map to play ranked, no new mechanics like mega evolution and new emblems held items , buddy barrier, score shield ,rocky helmet,leftovers ,goal getter , being useless from a long time , type advantage and disadvantage like grass is super effective on water ,perma stun a very big problem, In solo que there should be rule that each player has to choose a different role , and you have to change your role after each match For eg :if you chose attacker then other 4 player have to choose a role other than attacker And in the match after this one you have to to choose a role other than attacker.

I like a more competitive experience in my games. The thing that worried me was many unite players reaction to draft. I felt that general perception of draft was negative, and that makes me feel like player base doesn’t want to get better/have more of a challenge. I feel that when more players get better and play the meta, more creative play is created, counter meta is found, and the game gets more interesting. I’m not sure this perception can change, but I’ve seen it happen before in mainline pokemon games and I hope it can happen here too.

Worst thing is that i feel like instead of trying to raise skill gap of playerbase TIMi instead tries to dumb down it instead by making the mons with the most basic mechanics and insane stats.
@sothisislife101
@sothisislife101 Ай бұрын
I actually thought that the idea of draft itself wasn’t the problem, so much as its implementation and how buggy it was. For one, it sucks to go through however many minutes to draft and load, just to have a network error (either yours or a teammates) and start the process all over again. That was a serious flaw that impacted user experience and only seemed to improve so much. I always felt like some of the picking order was reversed from what it should be. Skilled players should pick bans as they generally have a better idea of the meta and will pick for the team at large - vs a less-skilled player just picking whichever mon they’re weaker against or frustration-of-the-moment. Less skilled players should get to pick their mons first since they may have fewer in their roster or be focusing on improving with certain ones - whereas a skilled player should be able to compensate based on the mons remaining undrafted. And the timing for things seemed off too. With how laggy the picking interface was, I could barely scroll to the mon I wanted to ban, let alone take a teammate’s input into account. The first ban should allow extra time for the draft lobby to load and for teammates to select ban picks. Not to mention, we should be able to pick who we want banned at any point, not just when it’s our team’s turn to ban. That makes no sense and just causes frustration. Otherwise, I felt like draft actually improved team comp since most players would instinctively react to seeing which mons the other team is picking. It also makes mon selection much more strategic since your main might get picked before your turn to select.

It was a bummer this season they reverted draft to 1400, i had maybe 5/6 drafts this season... i thought next step is draft for all ranks and people would prepare more for each match, or adding chat option with team during queue for draft.

I’d like to see more challenge type content like you did with the starter Pokémon recently. Unite is super repetitive, the only way to spice it up, especially for content, is to do unique challenges. Also, playing with other content creators to do those challenges can be fun.

You should make detailed guides on how to play every Pokemon. Not just build suggestions, but actually how to utilize each character to their fullest. (I.e. Best lane, positioning, securing, how they best fit (or don’t fit) in a team comp, the different ways you should play them based on the matchups, general skill tips, etc).

Since asked for suggestion, I'm gonna write some stuff down. I am not saying these are gonna help you or anything but I hope you give a thought about them. 1. Can posting less videos per day help with the views? I wonder how many people are willing to watch 3 videos of the same creator at the same day. Even if you post 3 videos per day, is there a possibility that the third video isn't a plain gameplay? 2. I feel like your interaction with KZfaq viewers during the livestream is less engaging than that with Twitch viewers. 3. I think collabs with other creators may help to gain new subscribers. 4. Is there any possibility to do series like the Road to masters, Nuzlockes, Viewers games etc.? 5. Create a signature thingy for yourself. Like a content that can only be found in this channel. (eg, Yee Haw of Spragels, Hi I'm Teeds & this is Nuts of SuperTeeds, On Mondays we do tier list and on Wednesdays we wear pink!, so & so) 6. Editing the videos. I know you do the editing and thumbnail yourself so I am not suggesting to hire someone else but maybe you could try fun editing styles from Maxikyu, Inder, Moy etc. 7. I love you Cris, bye.

I started playing unite at release and it was the first moba I'd ever played. I was absolutely horrible but watching you and Spragels really helped me improve. Even if I never got good enough to feel confident playing higher skill mons you still helped me understand what plays make sense when and how to play different types of characters which made the game so much more fun. I had to stop playing a few months ago for my mental health because solo q became so unbearably frustrating especially since I'm not at the skill level where I can carry every game. So I'm grateful for your content, especially DLC, showing all the insane things you experience. It scratches my Unite itch but also validates that quitting was the right decision. If they make major changes to match making I will 100% start playing again

I think it might be worth making collaborative videos with other content creators. I think it would have raised the views. Or something like some kind of challenges. I also think it would be possible to arrange sweepstakes or contests. Or you can make video reviews of subscribers' matches. You can also shoot videos of fast battles. On twitch, you can stream joint fights with subscribers in custom matches. Maybe you will like some of these ideas, although I understand that many of them may not suit you.

I subbed because you're relatable. Three years ago, I transitioned from a third person shooter, Garden Warfare to Unite (mainly because of the pokemon IP.) It was a struggle and a half just to play against the sweats back then while trying to play my favorite pokemon, but the first time I saw you was in a Spragles video talking about sniping the big objective when everyone else is Dead, and that's when I started learning about MOBAs that made me actively better at Unite (at the cost of insanity.) Now in present day, it's more so fighting the low quality teammates and boredom of seasonal updates, but I still like the content you make and it's good to start branching out to other games before Unite implodes on itself.

A potential idea is having a viewer tournament or competition. You could easily do this on streams. Maybe open a discord to host events. I think this could be really enjoyable to watch on KZfaq as well, especially if participants can then come to the comment section and also talk about their experiences. This is my point of view, sooner or later, your mindset/attitude will return to what it truly believes. What you truly believe comes from what your parents instilled upon you as a child. In my opinion if you want to have a positive attitude, you need to go through challenges and suffering. That's what you're going through now. You can't cheat the system, you have to go through the pain. all you can do is see how much you can endure and reflect on it. Hard times bread strong men. Honestly, This was a conversation that needed to be had. I used to play pokemon Unite Daily, and was super excited whenever an update came out no matter how small.... However... That changed, as expected. I started from daily to every couple days, then that turned to once a week, and eventually once a month if I'm REALLY bored. Even when I *do* play, it's only for 1-3 matches before I get off and do something else. I've been coming back ever so slowly, and props to you, since you reignited my interest in the game. Used to always come the second a video uploaded, Always excited for advice, and just seeing you play! Although I still watch the videos now, This kind of made me realize how bored I got of Unite. I plan on getting on with a few friends and just be a bit silly, since I probably won't play until Ho-Oh releases. Thanks Cris for speaking about this, and for keeping my previously flickering candle lit and making it combust into larger flames, My Love for Unite Shall Not End Yet! PS. "Tough Pillow to Swallow" caught me off guard and I fell from my chair laughing, Thanks for the dose of Dopamine. (Yes I'm Fine.) PS 2. I'm hyped for the next update! I'll probably try to get Ceruledge to Blue Ribbon them as a means to motivate myself. Ho-Oh Will Make me cry when they release, a REVIVE?? Man will be meta for eons to come. One Last thing.. Maybe. I ranted for a while here, a bit more than I originally intended to, so thanks for whoever bothered to read this random Unite lover's Thoughts on the matter! Peace! Edit: Grammar Correction

From a viewer POV: Spragels makes great informative videos and is really charismatic. YOUR appeal is that you are very skilled at this game. Things I like and would like from your channel: - well edited penta compliations - Tier lists and meta analysis, "my top ten fav pokemon to play" - Commentary on big tournament matches - frankly more collabs, I believe the 5 eevee squad did quiet well - If you want to post daily limit it to 1 video otherwise it gets too convoluted - post more shorts I think posting and streaming 24/7 can hinder the creative process. If your views are dipping just take a step back. I am not telling you what to do this is just my opinion. Also in terms of Honor of Kings, I wanna say guide videos tend to do really well!

Hi Cris! Honestly I would love to watch an educational series from you, specifically teaching us about game sense. Like an in-depth and organised series showing us your approach to a game / specific situations. For example: how to look at both team comps and analyse what you should do differently in this game (choosing different moveset for specific Pokemon, choosing different paths, avoiding certain fights, etc.); and how to develop the mindset to look for game-winning plays (going/not going for ray, backcapping, targeting specific enemy, when to use unite properly, etc.); maybe even tell us your process for choosing the best held item for your character, so players can learn to think for themselves when they are gearing their Pokemon up. As a frequent watcher of your videos, I know you have been teaching us a lot of strategies and game sense, though the information might be scattered across many videos, where some viewers might not have the full picture if they are not as dedicated. I think there are many technical knowledge most players don't know, and this series can guide them to become a better player, a more reliable teammate, and a more respectable enemy, making the game more fun for everyone. These are just some ideas, I have always been in love with your content, and will always support you no matter how your channel develops! Greetings from hong kong :D

I'll keep watching your Unite content because I like seeing how you apply your moba expertise. Especially with whatever weird magics goes on in your games, lmao. However, I'd like to see you branch out with at least one other game. It might cut some revenue off the top, sure. But while Unite isn't dying per se, it hasn't really changed in ages, and having another game would be really interesting to see. Give it time, and it might end up making its own steady profit in the future! Honestly, I've always wondered what it would be like seeing you gain experience from other mobas, because it might push you to improve; something Unite doesn't get its playerbase to do, even in ranked. And I get the feeling a more competitive game would suit you well. That's all I have to say, really. Either way, I wish you all the best!

I think a great way to bring in more views is to do things like challenges. When the game isn't making things interesting, make it interesting yourself. That's how SSBU content is still alive. Do things like trying to win on worse and worse controllers, or a series where you get a win with every pokemon by generation. You could experiment on your DLC Channel and slowly incorporate it into your main channel if it gains traction. I do agree though, Pokemon Unite isn't making it easy. That's my input, and whatever you do Cris, good luck

I´m right now not playing that much because of the season, in summer i always do other things and have more things to do as well. But because of that, i can´t watch that much content as well. But I am realising that the game in general is not getting worse, but it stays the same. and when i see falinks with iron head no retreat 5 games in a row doing 150k damage it´s not that funny (for example). But I am also full of hope, and wish for you that the anniversairy will help your channel again :)

Hi! As someone who admittedly is a part of the problem of waxing and waning interest depending on the state of the game, maybe an idea with the anniversary coming up would be doing a series of the history of some of the mons available at launch and how they've changed since then. When you think they were at their best, worst, what changes you would make (if any) to where they're at now. I'm thinking of characters like Wigglytuff who isn't BAD now but isn't good either and a few years ago how dominant it was, but for the newer player base, they'd probably have no idea just how overpowered it once was.

About the game. I think it could go deeper into the nature of pokemons and their weaknesses. For example, water-pokemon have an advantage against fire-pokemon, grass-pokemon against water-pokemon..... And there's a way to improve your Pokemon's level as you play with it more and better. And most importantly, finding a way to balance the teams, it's really very frustrating to play with people who cause 20k greninja...

2 Friends of mine and myself are currently playing a bit more Unite again just because the entire game actually feels a bit more balanced than it did when we quit, but Hooh is kinda a breaking point again. I feel like the content is just not optimal for being so tiny most of the time. Ranked is also like the only reason why you should play this game because all the supposed to be "fun" little gamemodes are kinda trash. Due to that it pretty much becomes unplayable once the meta becomes unstable again tho which is so sad. Also those little things like the anniversary event being literally the exact same every single year just give me this feeling that the devs dont really give a shit about trying to make something new for the game which is so tiring. I spent so much time on this game in the first 1 1/2 years that I can only hope that it becomes consistently good again and that it gives me a reason to care about the content you make, but TiMi really doesnt make it easy. However, I do wish the people that are actually living off of this game the best of luck and trying out a bit more games is probable the safest Idea you couldve come up with!

Hey Cris, long time subscriber. Wanted to know if you could setup 2 videos. They would be a “back to basics,” of sorts. Please explain to people the difference between Macro positioning (where you are on the map and what objective you’re doing, where you should be?, and why based on what’s happening in other regions of the map and what time it is) And micro positioning, like for instance as Cinderace or Dragapult, how you position your character to be as far away from your target as you can, but still do damage, until you’re pursued, then keeping them away from you, as they turn, when you pursue, where to stand in 1:1,1:2,1:3 etc.

IDK if i've already commented on this, but this is definitely a tough position to be in, and i know this being a creator who has been through this exact scenario (and honestly i am kind of in this scenario myself now) its honestly a problem that will require a lot of thought and planning, but to get different results I think you may need to approach content in a different way. Of course, there's always a view ceiling when it comes to anything, and it doesnt help that Unite is a smaller game. it'll be a lot to write up so if you ever want to chat YouTUbe LMK!

Hey Cris, returning now very active player and watcher here. What my wish for content in the future would be to go more in depth about what decisions u make in gameplay at every current time bc for a returning player a lot of the older videos don't apply. I am watching your videos to get better at the game and I'd love to see way more comeback replays than the usual early domination ones. You do have a lot of knowledge abt the game and I encourage you to show/flex it a bit more in the videos. Love the content and as I said the only thing I'd complain abt is not going in depth enough abt decision making, it would step up ur vids to educational content and imo ppl would stop complaining abt negativity if u'd focus more on that. Love ur vids! Edit: typo

Both me and my gf have been playing since release and we are slowing moving on from it for longer periods of time before returning. She’s an entry level gamer and I would say I’m more advanced, the issue we both have with the game is that it requires communication, teamwork, coordination, understanding roles etc. and that’s so rare in solo/duo/trio. No ones likes to lose especially when they have the most random teammates stealing jungle, feeding, not rotating etc.. The concept of this game requires more than basic shooters but it constantly rewards bad players for bad habits and makes other players leave. And they we are the bad guys/toxic for calling someone out on their BS. That’s why they have standard matches. That’s just my opinion. We really Love the game and the style and wanted it to succeed. We both have hundreds of hours each put into it

I cant ever see myslef getting into unite until they fix the "oh a ranked game, you're at Master 2000? here have a game with 3 dudes with 150 games on your team...you'll totally win" They also need a new map ASAP. Started playing HOK, and I was alternating between the two games, but I've been more invested in HOK than Unite for a few days now. Bro you didn't have to humble down so much. I actually felt sad for you hearing your issue. 😢 The case for me personally is that, every now and then, because of lack of exciting missions and rewards in Unite, I leave the game for a while and then whenever there's a big event coming to the game I rejoin it. Regarding your content, it's never boring. I could just play any random video from your channel and would get lost in the match that you are playing and chatting with Twitch. You are doing really well my friend, I think people usually get bored with the game itself more than your content. So you need not feel bad for anything.

Another thing I’d like to note; We’ve all heard you say you’re a solo queue player and you don’t do collabs. Watching the vid I thought that maybe trying it out could be something fun now that the game itself is really stale. You could attempt to do dumb two-person challenges, or simply chat. 9:27 Yeah, for me, being a content creator centered around art is very difficult. It's either you try and make short form content (which I hate) for TikTok or Shorts, or you hop on a trend (which I also hate). Honestly, I'm not thinking about the numbers anymore, I really like my audience that I've built up and it's still growing slowly. Even though my audience isn't really big, I know that it's not because I'm a bad artist. That's the most important thing I've learned: just because people aren't watching your content - whether you had a big audience and now you don't - that doesn't necessarily mean whatever you're making is bad. It just means something changed and sometimes we don't know how to ride that change.

I agree, the game needs more spice. I wish that there is more vertical progress for free-to-play players like yes, we can definitely get something from events that doesn't require players from purchasing, but it's just that it takes ages for us, strict f2p players, to say... buy a Unite license. And if you can, for instance, every month you can buy a license, but what about coins enough to upgrade the emblems. This issue can be fixed with the reward system in the ranks, honestly, by giving like at least 500 coins in between ranks. I'm not discrediting the fact that Unite also need to earn money, but I see it more as a one-sided thing wherein we play constantly, but we don't get something in return contributive to our progress other than our personal happiness and fulfillment. There is also the map problem. It has served its time, it slayed on its release, but now... it feels like it's just a really old grandmother who is happy how she had lived her life and just waiting for death to come but it doesn't come. And in terms of Cris' content, they are the best. It has really helped me get to Veteran and Ultra. But I think, at this point, my road to Master is just something for me and Azumarill to work on. Don't think about the channel's downfall. The more you think of it, the more you manifest, and the bigger the probability that the time will come. The only thing that I could yap about this video is that there shouldn't be a gameplay on this. I mean... this is about you talking directly to the audience. Other than that, you're doing great. We love you so much!

i'm actually a returning player from early seasons 1-5 or so. i've played high elo at primarily FPS games, but also played lots of mobas as well. you're correct it is just nature of the beast. I will say from my perspective though as a player who missed multiple seasons, i hate playing catch up in relearning what is the current meta. Your tier lists (both lanes AND jg) are amazing. It would have been nice to learn what moveset is preferred in that tierlist but i understand how convoluted that can become. I climbed solo to 1600 and refusing to read patch note history, i basically just forced games until i learned the meta by what i was facing. food for thought, i was glad to see youre still creating content it helped reduce my (re)learning curve drastically, from a solo perspective

Your builds and advice have always helped me and I will watch as long as you play something! Be it unite or something else. I completely get how much it sucks to lose views, subscribers, and income, happened to me too in the art world, it isn’t easy to cope with. Best you can do is keep your head up and keep on trying! Nothing is put in your life that you can’t handle => I’ve been feelin pretty down about unite too honestly, I really hope we get a new map or emblems or something. This has been the worst season for me, got to masters but it’s the first season in 17 that I haven’t gotten my sticker the matchmaking has been that horrendous. I was perma stuck in ultra with just…terrible players. New level of bad. Anyways, just keep on goin and try not to worry! If unite fails you will build another community around a different game ;)
