The comics are similar with Superman, Supergirl, and the flash, super inconsistent with there powers and capabilities, sometimes Barry runs at light speed, sometimes he can't dodge barely super Sonic attacks, sometimes Superman can lift planets, sometimes he struggles with buildings, the t.v. show does the same, Barry sometimes runs to China and back within 1 or 2 seconds and sometimes he can only run at Mach 5 or 6 ( way slower than the china feat ), it's as strong/fast as they need them to be at the moment.

Didn’t the cartoons do that also any kind of media always has inconsistent strengths with heroes

well... the producers never expected to be able to do crisis and his contract was almost over so... making him a paragon would be a waist of storyline cause that would mean that for any other crisis the heroes wouldnt be able to win because of one missing paragon

The issue is how they filmed it. They film the crossover (ordinarily) like their usual TV production schedule whereas Earth X was filmed on a special schedule that was more like a film but with the grueling hours of TV because the script for Earth X was written and intended to play out like a one whole contained story, aka a movie. I also thought nothing lives up to Earth X in terms of writing and directing. The regular crossovers are "fine enough" but it's a WHOLE lot of stop start, stop start. Even though Earth X was aired in parts it still flowed way better. They said they wouldn't do that again because the process was too grueling on the actors and managing it was hard (given that it was a shit ton of actors from different shows on screen), which I totally get, just wish they had busted it out one final time for Crisis. For me personally, Crisis felt like it had no urgency. The characters kept acting like there was but there really wasn't. I thought it would have been an interesting idea if maybe one part we followed the story through Pariah's eyes. Like what a completely useless character in this crossover beyond just the setup. This crossover relied A LOT on cameos, which were awesome, but it would have been interesting if maybe even the first episode was just Pariah going from world to world trying to save and warn everyone but having to watch everyone die, which would have also been a cool way to bring in cameos. There's a lot more but I appreciate what they did. They still did it, I'll still love it despite its flaws.

This was more a love letter and celebration for live action DC adptations

In the comics, Supergirl dies saving Superman from the Anti-Monitor. In the show, the AM had Superman in his grasp, and was squeezing. Kara charged in to save him, realizing it would probably kill her. But Atom stopped her.

For me I find it repetitive and lazy writing, for example last season on flash when the dagger villain kept flying away at the speed of light or getting away just made it seem wack and showed that none of their interactions mattered bc he would keep being successful at escaping until the last episode. It gets so annoying and elementary for me that I would rather give other shows a chance like the mandalorian.

Which also enables DC to one day revisit that storyline in the movies, should they wish to ride the new wave of interest in Brandon Routh's interpretation. Frankly, I'd find movies of an aging Superman to be interesting, rather than constantly resetting the story to 20's or 30-something. There's been a tiny bit of that in animated works (Batman Beyond comes to mind), but never live action, at least that I can recall.

Black Lightning earned it when he single-handedly pulled enough power from the anti-matter turbine to give the Flashes time to decide who would take the fatal run. Earth-90 Barry even took a moment to acknowledge how heroic an act that was, given that BL had just lost everything. I suspect Earth-1 Barry took serious note of that.

I forget exactly what it was about tbh, but I do remember audibly groaning at some points as it was a decent chunk of the 2nd Act which could've been better spent exploring characters like The Ray and Citizen Cold.
