As someone said earlier, there is a mirror positioned underneath the platform. In fact, if you look at the barrel next to the guy in the background, in the first minute before the curtain is raised that barrel is charcoal gray, but when you see the barrel reflected in the mirror it is almost white after the curtain/tarp is raised.

Under the board he's on there is a mirror fastened on an angle reflecting down at the sand. The legs under the board are the cameramans and a man is positioned in the background to provide the top half of the "rear spectator." Then he just drops behind the mirror as the curtain falls and kneels out of sight. The whole audience is in on it. I love Angeland it has to be hard to continuously invent new tricks. There's bound to be some debunkable stuff with the spectacular.

Listen people. Criss Angel is an absolute professional at using our perspectives and how we look at the world through our eyes and how our brains process this information, from speed to technique. Hes a perfectionist so he trains so hard non stop preparing for things like this. He switches up his types of illusions to give off a demonic trait or supernatural ability but in reality its nothing but a well performed illusion combined with his history.

Cool trick, but very easy to pull off. The cut camera scene is where things change. At the beginning the legs of the guy in the back are real, and you can also see Angel step onto the board.After the cut scene an angled mirror is placed directly in front of the two barrels. it is capturing the legs of someone off camera. Criss simply drops down and hides behind the mirror

Yeah, mirror between the barrels. A man is standing in front of the mirror to look like it's the legs of the man standing behind Chris. Also watch the shadow between the barrels and milk crates behind him. The mirror reflects the shadow of the canvas in front. Especially noticeable when the canvas falls and is yanked away and you go second by second using the "k" key to pause and play.

magic is all about diversion,notice that @0:36 when chris asked the two guys if they could bring the sheet up a closer that was a diversion tactic so you would not notice the the rope getting shorter in the guys hand on the left side of chris with the beard as chris brings his hands together to put the ropes together

Look at the shadow of the guy behind him when they bring the camera down. At first his shadow is ahead of him but because of the mirror the guy on the other side has a shadow behind him. How he gets the ropes together I do not know but vanishing is not that hard on camera

OMG...so I went to SpikeTV site and saw the sneak peek at the Shaq levitation...HOW? All I know is that I am tuning in tonight to see how this goes down...or up :) WAHOOOO GO CRISS!!! Hope he doesn't just vanish like he did here and leave Shaq floating around LOL

i think i understood it : between the 0:05 and 0:30 , the shadow of the man behind with yellow shirt is not in the same direction

also easy way to tell with the ropes on the hand as hes telling them to lift up the cloth if you watch the rope in the hands of the guy on the right you can measure where the end is with the orange debris and you can actual watch the rope get shorter as cris ties them together

At the start of the clip the shadows are long and the sun is in the back left. When he does the trick the shadows are short and the sun is overhead to the left. Something changed, but what? ;) Maybe a mirror was placed but maybe the cans on the right aren't cans anymore and suddenly move down a tiny bit when you watch it frame by frame. Criss, come out come out, wherever you are! :D

there is a mirrow below him, look at the shadow of the guy behind him at 0:05 and look how the shadow changes at 0:23

keep your eyes on the two white paint buckets supporting the beam hes standing on. The view of where the cameras perspective ( our perspectives " is looking at gives off an illusion that the opening on top is too small to fit a human. But the physics trick you into thinking that. In reality the two buckets are like a slide. Look closely when he vanishes and focus on the blanket covering him. You will see his bodies shadow slide towards the opening of the buckets. Rewind if you have too.

Exactly.. the shadows angle switches and that´s how you see it.. pretty nice though :P

All the people there are with this trick and the mirror below cris is obvious that makes this trick so simple. Camera pans from up to down showing that there is nothing below but in fact the reflection of that other persons legs in the mirror is a proof that there is something below him.

Look at shadow of guy in background at 6 seconds, then at 23 seconds. The shadow is completely different revealing the mirror with someone in the foreground behind the camera. The mirror is inserted when the camera cuts at 19 seconds. This has all been done before...

To confirm this, at 0:05 the shadow the guy behind him is in front of him, at 0:36 the shadow is behind him. U know i mean. Keep thinking, u will definitely get to the secret. He just came down and hide behind the mirror.

In real life you would atleast move or say something but he couldn't cause he was playingvthe role as if the legd under chris was really him
