Criss Cross Dutch Braids by Erin Balogh

Today we are bringing you a tutorial about how to do Criss Cross Dutch Braids (which are two side-by-side dutch braids with their inside sections crossed over the middle and added to the other side). You will see in the video that most of your time for this braid will be spent on parting the hair beforehand 😂Once that is done, the braids go pretty quick. I like to do the parting on dry hair and spray 💦 with water as I go but for curly or more frizzy hair I would recommend starting on wet hair and using product (gel or mousse) to really get those crossed over sections laying smooth 👍🏼Have fun with this one! I've been doing Dutch braids for years and it never occurred to me to use a criss cross part! It looks soooo good and I love how it protects the scalp from the sun. Thanks, gals, for the fantastic demo!

Great tutorial! I’m going to give this a go on my daughter. I’ll tag you on IG. Does it have to be a Dutch braid? Will it work with a regular braid?

Definitely give it a try on your daughter and have a few hair clips on hand to keep all the hair organized 🙌🏼You can do other braids with this also. I've done Dutch Braids, French Braids, Dutch Inifinity Braids, Suspended Infinity Braids...the only one I am not sure about and haven't tried is a Dutch or French Fishtail braid. I don't know if they would work as well🤔
