after watching the english premier league on and off over past few years (im english and was obsessed with football 2002-2010 ish then lost interest) i think that its definitely not the hardest league in the world. but ronaldo can make anyone and anything look like a circus!!!

I remember watching EPL with my dad, we weren’t Man U fans but we’d watch their games to see CR7. My dad was a mad football fan. CR7 has something special, every time he got the ball never-mind where he was on the pitch it brought us to the edge of our seats as he made you feel anything was possible - great memories - RIP Dad x

Even if anybody can do these skills..its really difficult to do showpony in an actual game and it is frickin premier league.I have seen nobody in modern game try these in an actual game no matter how talented he is. It tells a lot about his personality and confidence. He did stepovers as an 18 year old at Old Trafford in his debut game coming as a sub. Thats insane and that is the quality which is the rarest in a player.

I remember watching the debut and you could just tell there was something special about him. He played with this delusional confidence and determination. There were some ups and downs the first seasons and a lot of frustrations, but I was convinced he would become a great player. Remember these days tuning in every week to watch him dominate players and gradually become more efficient. It was extra satisfying since I believed in him from the start. There are lots of clips, but sometimes I just like to find old matches and watch them back. That's when you'll see how dominant this guy was

What surprises me the most is actually watching ex football players saying they like messi better because for them messi dribbles more and creates more goals and chances than ronaldo ! I'm like stunned. I get this from random people but ex footballers ! Have they never watched ronaldo play in the prem ? Messis best season to me is nothing compared to what ronaldo did in the hardest league ever. Ronaldo is the greatest goal scorer ever having played half his career as a winger and the second greatest assist provider having played the other half as a striker. This man is football to me. Since a few years now i only watch him play and nothing else, and if he retires it would be difficult to watch football again, he is the GOAT, no one comes even close in ly opinion. 2006-2007 is one of my favorite seasons ever as a Man Utd fan because of Ronaldo. It was his breakthrough season, he truly became a world class player and we won the league after 4 years. My favorite version of Ronaldo too. He still had some of the rawness of a young player, but at the same time he was becoming more efficient and deadly too.

No need to hate on the people. But what you said is right. Even Ronaldo said it himself, every good player is a combination of hard work and talent. I think people just associate Ronaldo with "just hard work" because in terms of flair and technique, his vision and footwork isn't on the same level as lets' say the Brazilian Ronaldo. But talent can be found and excelled in other areas too.

when becks leaving the club, i feel a bit empty watching my fav club playing. its like something missing... then i remembered when this young man came from the bench, wow who is he? i never heard of him, wearing no 7. Then the rest was history. It wasn't just about skill, but its about entertaining audience at stadium and from home. He brought refreshment not only for the team, but also for the league. He's one of a kind at the time. Good old time back then.

He's very fast so the slightest touch could make him fall despite his great stamina. So people thought he fell on purpose. However, he did dive a few times like 'The great fall ' with Frank Lampard. He's still my favourite and will always be. More success to cr7.

This is the Cristiano ronaldo that put man united back on the map. The Cristiano ronaldo that worked extremely hard & put in the work time & time again. The work he would put in would pay off in 2007, 2008 & 2009 because it was there where he would score 42 goals in a single season, win the league, ballon d or & then win the champions league with Manchester united. This is the ronaldo trolls dont remember. This is the ronaldo that would go on to become a legend at real madrid over the next 9 years. After all that was said & done, returns home to the club that made him into a star 12 years later. Every European club he's played for he has saved in important games even at national squad level. If you're going to say that messi is better, just remember that ronaldo didn't retire from his national team when things went to hell.

Premierleague Ronaldo was a combination of technique, speed and strength. Something we dont see very often in today superstar like Neymar, Hazard, even Mbappe
