I think I know why other players hate christiano ronaldo so much and prefer messi. Christiano is what every football player want to be, athletic, skills, dedication, trophies and personal record, on top of being considered by many one of the greatest player of all time. I think many people become envious of Ronaldo and are blinded by that envy, not considering the hard work and sacrifices ronaldo must have done to reach this level.

I don't know, Messi seems untouchable, Christiano Ronaldo is more human, I think it's easier to hate on a man than someone like Messi who seems to be almost beyond that. Look how people got angry when Canelo made his on remark on Messi, Zlatan and Mike Tyson were ready to beat the dude. Messi has an aura and Ronaldo is much grounded.

They don’t hate him. It’s just a fact that Messi is the better footballer. If you ask professionals who played against both in their primes you’ll realize this ain’t much of a debate. Its very one sided for Messi. It’s only such a big debate between fans because obviously fans judge with their sentimental value and who they like and what team they love/hate. You will notice that the footballers who say cr7 is better are mostly young guys who grew up watching him on tv and like I said, sentiments…all the older players who watched them grow and played them in their primes pick Messi,Besides cr7 teammates, and even some of them pick Messi, which is something you will never see in the opposite case

@@youngerudit2524 people are biased man, even the top coaches. Messi and Ronaldo are 2 different players and comparing them doesn't make sense. Choosing messi makes sense from a tactical point of view, because he is a playermaker that also scores a lot of goals. Ronaldo is a goal scoring machine with some playmaking. To me comparing them is like comparing a defender to a striker. Would you say that Messi is better than a defender like Puyol for example? no, because they both play different roles. Messi talents would be useless as a pure striker, limited as a winger, crap as a defender and useless as a goalkeeper. He is the best attacking midfielder we've ever seen and that's that. There is no best player, just best position or great players that can play multiple position decent or very good.

I respect Henry, even though I am a hardcore Man Utd fan. Even under the massive influence of legendary Zidane, he really showed class and flair. But it seems like many other pundits who never experienced another player like CR7 (and perhaps never will) with such a passion, class, dedication and impact, he didn't truly understand how good a player CR7 is. I'll tell you why. It's because he's the second best player of his generation, knows this but his narcissism doesn't allow him to cope with that. Therefore, he has tried everything in the world to vainly prove that he is better than Messi: by hard work (which is admirable), or by arrogant behavior by either himself or his minions like his sister, Piers Morgan or Evra (which is despicable). The 'factos' remark proved that he isn't respectful at all towards his rival and was one of the many occassions that he showed his true colours. There, that's the main reason why so many people dislike Ronaldo. He could have taken comfort into being considered one of the best players ever, but no, he wants more. He wants to be considered THE best. That's impossible, because he just isn't it. Hence the jealousy and arrogant behavior, which derives from insecurity.
