100% agree on his Miller's Crossing comments. It's super-complicated and needs to be rewatched to make sense of it (and rewards your investment), and Turturro is unforgettable. As is Jon Polito!

Yes -- the narration/voice over in "Blast of Silence" is one of the best aspects of this great film. What really sets this particular voice over apart, is the fact that it's done in the second person, which makes the raw cynicism really come alive, especially with the accent and tone of the narrator. Brilliant. So fun to mouth along as you watch...

He is a treasure, love him.... Now, Millers Crossing has several of the best hit scenes in any mob or cop film, starting with the shot of the two Thomson machine guns viewed from floor level right through to the old man popping away at the fleeing car... absolutely top tier. The very funny shot of the street fight between the cops and mob guys, it looks like they are far apart, camera moves to the side and we see they are right on top of each other.... funny and wild. I will be tracking down Blast of Silence! Cheers!

He’s right, we need some more Coen films in the collection-like where is O Brother, Where Art Thou? Amazing performances by TBN and Turturro in that one. Also, when are you gonna give Leaves of Grass its own spine number and give it a spot on those shelves? TBN is a wonderful actor, writer, and director and beautiful performances by Keri Russell and Susan Sarandon.
