It’s funny that Laura says she used jesters voice at home before campaign 2. I’ve been watching campaign 1 and I noticed she’d sometimes sound like jester when she was goofing around ooc.

It's not even about that I don't think. I don't do it professionally but I also do accents and voices every now and again when I'm hanging out with my mates and I'll go for a real gruff Russian accent and slip into a Scottish accidentally as well. I think they're similar, and the Scottish accent is probably more comfortable.

the voices thing is so CUTE, and it reminds me of a certain show I was in recently- backstage, all of us would talk to the crew exclusively in our character voices as to not break character (we were onstage the whole time but occasionally had to lean into the wings to grab props) and for the first week or so, they just looked CONFUSED, ALL THE TIME, it was the funniest thing ever I swear

I do ridiculous voices often in public because I am more confident in being not myself, so the more of an act I am putting on, the less I panic. That said, I would love to get to the point that I wouldn’t notice I am doing a voice because I’d be confident without even thinking about it.

I was listening to a podcast with David Hayter the other day, and he said he makes an effort to NOT use the Snake voice in public unless someone recognises him. Which is normally when he's buying comics or games anyway. In his words "they'd arrest me if I did that voice everywhere". He also said he nearly got kicked out of Disney World for doing impressions of Jack Sparrow, when he went in cosplay for his daughter's birthday.

Oh my God I feel such a kinship to Laura Bailey because I do that exact same noise ever since I was little when I got excited or just flustered or shy you know I was really comfortable with you when I was willing to slip into different accents around you but my little Russian voice was always my favorite so when I started watching campaign 2 after I finish campaign one I was just like why did Laura Bailey literally based her character off of me I love to draw I'm an artist I love pastries I want my boyfriend started watching critical role he was like oh my God you are so much like Laura Bailey you're so much like jester he's like you done the voice as long as I've known you and we just stumbled into this I'm like I know right I was really funny is that he is so much like Travis it's ridiculous and ever since we stumbled upon critical role I've always told him he's the Ford to my jester he's the Travis to my Laura I just think it's really crazy and fun and amazing how you just stumble upon people who are so much like you and you aspire to be more like them because Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham or just amazing people
