It was Cillian best performance of this movie so why emily blunt grab the prize? :/🥱
@Follow-The-Spiders4 ай бұрын
@@svjsxnek884she literally starts off the speech by saying that she “was asked to speak for the oppenhomies”. It has nothing to do with their performances in the film 😑 Edit: This award is for the ‘Best Ensemble’(cast). Idk what you’re on about.

How could critics vote Oppenheiemer best ensemble and not give Cillian best actor. The guy drove the whole film.
@notaspeck61045 ай бұрын
Oppenheimer was a brilliant film, not just that the sheer scale of it was all sitting on Cillian's shoulders. If he wasn't 110% the movie just wouldn't have had the same impact, and for God's sake he was in practically every frame... If he doesn't win an Oscar (I would unfortunately not even be shocked) I will genuinely be disappointed.
@nikunjdixit11754 ай бұрын
Well, Best Actor and Best Ensemble are two different awards. You can be part of the best ensemble without being the best actor. I mean, Cillian Murphy was phenomenal, but so was Paul Giamatti.
@jonaspersson60944 ай бұрын
but he wasn't just phenomenal, its one the the best performances in movies of all time imo. I plan to watch The Holdovers and I'm sure Paul Giamatti will do a great job but I struggle to see how it could be better than Cillians performance. I'll see I guess.

Really pleased to see David and Alden up on stage. Although both had 'supporting' roles, they completely owned their parts and were incredible scene partners to Cillian and Robert respectively. Their roles serve as an audience proxy, they are the more relatable, everyman to these huge presences of Oppenheimer and Strauss.

Alden's last line was a true bomb: "maybe they were talking about something important" 😂🤣

@@ManishMathur5689 We got a Maestro fan here. Not gonna debate, all I will say is the guy really wanted an Oscar and literally gave shade to Cillian in that Actors on Actors interview. That being said, it’s funny to see how people respond to someone who trained for six years on how to conduct while the other guy got a call six months before shooting and gave a look of terror knowing he just gave the world the tool to destroy itself.
@oscarfun1004 ай бұрын
@@pedrobarragan746 What was the shade? Haven't seen that interview yet. But Cooper is thirsty for that Oscar, so true lol.
@pedrobarragan7464 ай бұрын
@@oscarfun100 He said it’s bogus to only prep for a few months after getting a call, it was well known Murphy got a call from Nolan a few months before shooting. I could see how Cooper felt irked considering he spent 6 years learning to conduct. If it were the 90s, Cooper would have it in the bag considering a lot of actors who directed themselves won during that era. But the times have changed.

THEY DESERVE MORE THAN JUST AN AWARD.. DAMN... I HAVEN'T SEEN A MOVIE LIKE OPPENHEIMER IN THE LAST 10 YEARS.. NOLAN REALLY BOOST UP HIS LEVEL IN MAKING THIS MOVIE... AND HE DESERVES AN OSCAR FOR THIS.. AFTER SO LONG , FINALLY NOW IS THE TIME...CONGRATS FOR OPPENHEIMER ... 😎

Truly astonishing what Oppenheimer has achieved this year, and it's amazing to see Blunt deliver the speech. After watching the movie three times, her interrogation scene is probably the most poignant moment of the entire film.
