For me, this is his best season. He was scoring goals for fun and dribbling like how he did in Manchester. He 'only' scored 33 goals that season because he was injured and played 35 games, otherwise he would have scored 50 as he usually does

I agree and I’ve been saying this for a little over a year now. This season he showed the dribbling and chance creation ability of his 2006-09 seasons but was even more devastating in front of goal. Had he not been injured for those 2 and a half months, 2009-2010 would have been Cristiano’s first 50+ goal season.

@@DB-lo1iy he was injured for almost 2 months in 2009/10. And his style definitely wasn't similar. 2010 onwards it was almost all power. He was certainly more agile in 2009/10.

People who say that clearly didn’t watch Ronaldo play from 03-12 all he did was take on and beat defenders lol. Mou turned him into a pure striker and the rest is history but before that he was a monster dribbler, people just hate and think his play of the last 2 years at nearly 40 years old defines his whole career

@@Secularexpansion9 the thing is people don't usually watch matches they just want to continously hate on someone without any reason these people who say that ronaldo can't dribble don't watch matches, Ronaldo from his man-u to early real madrid days was continously taking on defenders and making past many players however there's very less highligths covering those clips and many matches are very hard to find in particulary the early matches which around the 2000s and these people who hate on Ronaldo are just the newer fanbase who have started watching recently after the worldcup when ronaldo had already shifted his play more to a striker than a dribbler and age also catch up to him even though his performance last year was phenonmenal.

@@peterjackson2060 lies, there have never been a player like cr7, for his size and height he was a great dribbler and blazing fast with the ball, have great finishing with both feet, from long range too, great vertical leap to score towering header goals, plus he was very consistant I doubt there will ever be anyone like him again, back in the day we thought gareth bale would be like him, tall and explosive, but gareth was never as consistent and never as good as cr7, He is truly one of a kind Im assuming you a messi fan and nothing wrong with that, tbh i appreciate both, but as for messi, we had maradona, and we might have another Messi one day just based on that, cause also its easier to play football when you are shorter due to center of gravity and the ball glueing to your feet easier, but as for cr7, i doubt it, cause that level of hard work to be able to play football at that level when u are 6ft2 its really hard

You could tell coming to La Liga from the Prem was a downgrade in overall competition for him. The numbers don't lie... right in his 1st season he scored close to as many goals as games played. I've always thought that had he gone to La Liga earlier, which was where he'd wanted to go since a kid, he'd be on close to 1k goals right now. Easily.

He would have hit 700 goals if he came to Real Madrid in 2003. But he proved his worth in a tough league. Till date no one has won the top scorer and the best player award in England Spain and Italy other than Ronaldo

Thats actually my favourite version of CR7. He was incredbliy effective with 1,22 Goals and Assists per game. But he was still so agile and fast. He could dribble past multiple defenders easily, scored with his left, right, head or from outside the Box. Also he had a very good Vision. Sadly he had to change his playing Style to not get injured.

Its a myth that LM10 is more talented than cr7,rather he is more lucky, his height,his COG and body type, one of the best players(midfielders )as his teammates, one of the finest coaches(pep etc.), and his chemistry with all of them is truly remarkable Never heard of LM10 getting issues in the dressing room or geeting bullied by his coaches and seniors The point is that no one knows who's more talented or who's more hardworking, there's no measuring criteria for it; but to say that either both are almost equally talented and workaholic or to say that cr7 edges him to be the GOAT Cr7 played numerous of matches as a midfielder(LM,RM etc) and even more as a winger which is the reason for his less contribution compared to lm10, who always was a central player, he also was in the midfield for a long time but always as CAM or CF in false 9, not to mention the tactics of barca which always ended in such a manner where messi was the main man(scorer and assiter) And there's no comparison of PL with Laliga Serie A may not be that tough compared to Laliga but a new league irrespective of its difficult y, its very hard to cope which was visible when lm10 went to ligue1 Nonetheless both are absolute GOATs

It’s crazy how much better CR and Messi were than literally everyone else. Today, Mbappe, Haaland, etc. do not have this same effect. They do not have the same magic.
