Hungary has great players in the midfield and attack. However, their goalkeeper is not at all good. Their right footed central defender who was responsible for Embolo's goal against Switzerland is also below par. He panics inside the box. Hungary may lose to Scotland if they don't change those two. The land of Puskas deserves better.

I would be really angry about that first goal, Orban fell through a perfectly normal contact and two Hungarian players turned around to complain to the ref on the sideline giving Gündogan and Musiala just enough time. This is such unnecessary behavior costing a team big time in a match where they deserved to score at least once. This is coming from a German btw, the Hungarians were once again really not the most pleasant of opponents in the best way possible. Would be cool to see them in the knockouts, results wise they sold themselves short especially with that clear loss against the Swiss.

Imo spain has played the best football so far and their game vs Italy was very impressive. Btw i'm aware you wrote that before Spain vs Italy was even played.

As a German I found it really amusing how two Hungarian players turned around to the ref on the sidelines to complain about this completely normal contact. This was the reason why Gündogan and Musiala had just enough space to create that chance. If I was Hungarian I would be fuming with rage, just play on until the ball definitely is out of play ffs. This mindset of complaining first and thinking second has to stop, football needs more rules regulating that kind of behavior.

If it was reverse...and Hungary scored..their gol would have been a foul in attack. Big countries are protected by ref all the time.

They make too many touches in the box, too many passes that should have been shots! No quality attempts made to score from outside the box or anything.

Nope, Croatia dominated both games. We just dont have strikers, not the managers fault. We simple dont have a competent striker to call up. Otherwise we are doing just fine.

Agreed. They've both met sides that are dark horses, but somewhat not in form (Hungary) or in decline (Croatia). How Spain handles their match with Italy (if Italy show up) will determine if they'll mature into the tournament.

You must not play football yourself.. if that is given as a penalty then the precedent is set that anytime I feel contact from an opposing player in the box I’ll just fall over and get a penalty. Football is a contact sport, you get hands laid on you and are pushed around constantly and need to be able to hold your own. Not every contact is a foul. And there’s a reason the Hungarians didn’t protest and demand a VAR check after the goal.. bc unlike you they understand the game 😂
