Hi. You should do 2 sc, inc, then (6 sc, inc) for 5 times, then 4 sc. You will get a total 48 stitches for R12. :)

The nose on yours seems to be more prominent and sticks out. Mine is more rounded. Could it be the type of yarn?

I think it’s the tension. I tend to hold the yarn tighter while crocheting.

Yup, just hold the yarn with the tension you are comfortable with, then that should be fine.

So far so good with the pattern, however, I got a little stuck on R12. Where it says "2sc, inc, (6sc, inc) * 5, 4 sc" I understand the first parts with the increase, but I am lost as to what the "5, 4sc" means, and where it applies. I would love to finish this as im a school bus driver and one of my students birthday is coming up and she loves unicorns

Hi so I’m new to crochet and I was wondering what you mean by decreasing and increasing. Do I add to the row under the current one when decreasing, or are you just saying the 6 sc will make the ball decrease.

Hi, “decrease” means 2 single crochet from the previous row becomes 1 single crochet for the current row. While “increase” means 1 single crochet from the previous row becomes 2 single crochet for the current row. When I get to line 14 on the body it says 9sc decrease (17 sc decrease) repeat 2 times 8sc [54] why the () around the 17 sc decrease and this would =64 stitches which is to many. I just can't figure this out :( please help......I get this as crochet 9 sc then decrease 1, crochet 17 sc then decrease 1, do this 2 times then crochet 8 sc and you should have 54 stitches. In the video it looks like you ended the row with a decrease then just just single crochet. I'm finding row 16,18 are like this as well those left over stitches at the end of the pattern directions for example 7 sc, 8sc

Hi, yes you’re correct. (17 sc, dec)*2 means you have to do (17 dc, dec) 2 times, which is 17sc, dec, 17sc, dec. :)

Ohhhhhhhhhh so you only do the 9sc decrease one time but what's in the () you do 2x then there are 8 sc left over. Ahhhhhhh makes more sense if that is correct. Thank you so much for a speedy response ❤
