Does the strap stretch much when used on a bag please?

Please provide width of yarn, eg. 2mm, 3mm? and how many strands in the yarn. Must it be cotton? Do you like acrylic or polyester for this pattern?

Hi, it’s a cotton yarn and recommended hook size is 3mm but I’ve used 2.5mm. And it’s an eight ply yarn so it has 8 strands of yarn in it. Cotton yarn is more sturdy, so I like cotton yarn compared to acrylic or polyester.
