Love your new baby turtles & that key tag flower. Ok couple of points here. 1. Blocking, for acrylic or cotton yarn I use a steam iron if the edge is curling. I hold the iron over my work, no weight of the iron goes on the crochet. Wool is done differently, washing by hand, rolling dry & pinning in place, but I don't work with wool I'm allergic. 2. Granny Squares, I've seen a trend on KZfaq lately of people only putting 2 chains in each corner. Then the corners curl and seriously need blocked. I do granny's the old school way with 3 chains in each corner. This allows a chain for each side & 1 for the corner to turn, so it will lays at a 90 degree corner. Also, I do a border after assembly & never need to block. 3. Migraines, if I feel one coming on, I take Tylenol right away before I get the tunnel starry vision, or I'm down in bed for hours. Sometimes, it's not a migraine & only barometric pressure from an approaching weather storm. Once it rains I sit on the porch & inhale all the fresh ions. So invigorating. I get different quirks if I get dehydrated so I make sure to drink lots of water. Bi don't drink more caffeine or it will give me a detox headache for sure when I stop. Anyway that's me.
