i made a little diagram/pattern sheet that you can use! it has a diagram of the flower stitch so you can see how many stitches you should have at the end of each row/between gaps etc. if you have that along with this video then hopefully it’ll clear up any confusion. it’s linked in my bio 💗💗

I made this top for my sister for Christmas and she LOVES it! some notes for those trying because there was a bit of trial and error: - although i tried using a yarn and hook size similar to those used in the video, the measurements did not exactly come out the same as in the video and the panels were smaller - because of this, the torso piece did not come as far down, meaning that the sleeves had to be longer than instructed - for torso pieces, i did 4 flowers by 4 flowers - for sleeve pieces, i did 3 flowers wide by 4.5 flowers long ( i only did part of the last flower for lack of yarn which wasn’t idea but it also didn’t look bad by any means) - i kept it to be quite open on the top for the neckline so that it was pretty slouchy & it looked very beachy and pretty i hope this is helpful for anyone! happy crocheting (:

READ THIS BEFORE STARTING I was a bit distracted when I started the project, so I noticed after finishing the 9th row that everything looked a bit crooked, and it's because you must CHAIN THREE (3) after ending each row, not 2. While working with double crochets, you should always chain 3, and then turn your work. Hope this helps! :)
@nikitanightingale
@nikitanightingale Жыл бұрын
‼️‼️ if you naturally crochet very tight then yes do a chain 3!! or alternatively do a loose chain 2, i personally do chain 2’s when working with dc because i dont like the gap a chain 3 leaves at the edges so doing a chain 2 gets rid of that. it doesn’t really matter if the piece is wonky because you end up sewing it all together anyways xx

Please please please answer my comment! What do you mean by "double crochet into the chain space"? I've never heard that and I really don't understand what it means, and you don't really show where to put it in the video... It confuses me so much and now my piece is all wonky and weird, so I'm going to start again, but I need to understand first 😭
@nikitanightingale
@nikitanightingale Жыл бұрын
Hi so what I mean by that is you’ll want to insert your hook into the space that was made by the chain 2 from the previous row and put your double crochets in there instead of into the chain itself. I have a diagram pattern linked in the description I hope that makes sense!
