Awesome I was thinking the same thing but for Akron Children’s Hospital here in Ohio. My boyfriend is a survivor from there and we both volunteer for the camp.

Hi Crystal, I have to share with you , I have a 96 year old Aunt who can knit but she has always had trouble learning to crochet . I sent her a video of you crocheting a baby blanket in orange I think , she watched it and she said she believes she could do that , she said you taught to where she understood it . I hope she will be able to make something . She was pretty excited about it . She will be 97 in October . Your a good teacher 🤗

I like that very much. I've never really used moss stitch much and looking at that hat, I'm wondering why. I'm planning on spending the summer making hats, scarves and lap blankets for a local old folks home, and some for me. This hat has joined the list. Love it, thank you Crystal.

Hi! I'm a 36 year old male, never tried crochet and just a little knitting. I found a beanie on the net I loved but thought it was too expensive. Then I found your video for a beanie with the same pattern. I sat down and got yarn and crocheting (stick?), and now after two days, I have a finished beanie and love it, thanks to your very thorough and easy guiding. Lots of thanks from Denmark!

Perfect beanie! Recent cancer diagnosis so trying to find resources for head cover and this looks exactly as needed for a crochet chemo beanie! I have been also having intense, long lasting sholder and arm pain from last attempts to crochet so had all but given up on crochet. I had a feeling you would have a perfect hat to work and I was right! Think I will take my time and try this beanie!!! Maybe I will be able to be back to crochet, if slowly, and be able to help with the awesome cause of crocheting beanies for those in need!

I have always been a huge fan of the moss stitch, and this tutorial is my new go-to for hats. I used a super bulky 6, so I only increased until I had 30 stitches around, then I did 14 rows of the repeat. Brought it just below my ear and fits snuggly, but not tight so it won’t stretch out too much and cause little gaps. Thank you for this amazing tutorial!

This is a single crochet then chain one repeating, worked in the round. This is by US standards. UK standards are different, the US single is a UK double. @@sharonford2295
