Written pattern 1. Get a rubber band or a hair tie whatever you call it 2. Make a slip knot and do single crochet all around the hair tie 3. Slip stich to join 4. Chain 3 and do TWO double crochet IN EACH STITCH 4. Slip stitch to join 5. CHAIN 3 and do ONE double crochet in each stitch 6, slip stitch to join 7. Add new colour and do a round of single crochets and slip stitch and tie off to join ❤ First time copying down a pattern ❤❤

row 1: sc in color A around the hairtie, slit in the first stitch you made. ch 2 row 2: dc increase in each stitch (color A) until you reach the first stitch of that row row 3: dc in each stitch (color A), but in the hole under the one you should usually stitch in. (if you stretch apart the dcs from row 2, notice how there is a small hole on top, and a larger one below it. crochet in the large one on the bottom) (no increase) slst and FO row 3: sc in each stitch (color B) slst in the first stitch and FO

The perfectionist in me is so devastated bc I was listening to the pattern so when I came back I realized there was a typed correction and I did the ribbing with the sc and not slip stitch. It doesn’t make a huge difference but I know 😭

Hi, I have tried this method -my hands start to ache as I struggle to tension the yarn and holding the hair tie together. How can I make this project easier without hurting my hands? Is there a technique to prevent it from happening?

It is hard to hold the elastic and crochet around it, have you tried crochet tension rings? They might help
