Jane while making your 2nd double crochet cluster on Round 4, you said to “pull through all 3 loops, and I think you meant “all 4 loops”; this was the SECOND cluster in the round - I know in the first cluster we pull through all three loops.

Thanks so much for catching this. I have only had one other comment on it. Sometimes I slip into autopilot. I wish I could correct these once they are up, but I am stuck with it now, oh well. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for your kind words and for your suggestion to get back on my Ravelry. I am there, just wasn't giving it alot of time. So now I am back and realizing how much I missed it. Posting my tutorials as we speak. Thanks again.

For round one...is that a total of 8 double crochet to make the circle complete?
@jspcreateАй бұрын
Yes, 8 dc and 8 ch-2 sp to complete the first round

At timestamp 7:18 don't you mean pull through all 4 loops since there is already 1 loop on your hook? The video looks like there are 4 also. Thanks!
@jspcreate7 ай бұрын
Good Catch. You are right, 3 loops plus the one on hook, I missed that. Thank you for noticing that! And thank you for watching!

@jspcreate I didn't mean to criticize. I just thought I'd mention it in case a crochet newbie might wonder. You are a great teacher. I love your channel and website!

thanks so much, always appreciate positive feedback. I also just discovered my youtube was only showing me new comments and not showing me responses to my responses, so sorry for the delay on this. Enjoy

Would 4ply and 4mm hook be ok to use as don't want the baby blanket that i'll be making too thick?
@jspcreate7 ай бұрын
I think this would work out just fine, Thanks for your question.

Is there a purpose for the ch1 at the beginning of round 3? Makes the first combo of stitches look very bulky. Thanks for your help.
@jspcreate7 ай бұрын
The ch 1 sets up the first sc so it is a squared up stitch and therefore easier to slip stitch into to finish the round. I agree this combination can seem akward at the beginning of a round. I have changed this up in newer patterns to just start with a single sc in the corner and then I finish the round with a single crochet, ch 2, sl st in first sc. this seems to sit better. But that is the purpose of the ch 1 before the sc, so that the stitch will sit square. I do encourage you to experiment and do what works for you. thanks for watching.

@@jspcreate Thank you so much. I will try the alternate method you mentioned and see which I like the best.

Want to make a baby blanket and love this square. Could i use 4 ply yarn and 4mm hook as don't want the blanket too thick? It's for a spring baby here in Cyprus 😊
@jspcreate7 ай бұрын
Yes I have made these squares in 4 ply and they work nicely. That will make a beautiful baby blanket 🤗

What yarn is that?
@jspcreate3 ай бұрын
The white is Parchment / Bernat Premium, the Grey is Pale Grey / Impeccable by Loops and Threads and the Blue is Arctic / Crafts Smart Value / Loops and Threads

How much yarn do I need?
@jspcreate7 ай бұрын
For this single square they don't usually take more than 30g of yarn total to make one. If you are looking at making a throw, I have a new tutorial that will help you through that and the yarn quantities I use are on the blog post that goes with it. The link to the throw tutorial is in the video description. Thanks for watching.

Have started this square but the on screen instructions are far too fast! Would it be possible to slow it down please? It would be much easier than having the sound on and disturbing my husband!
@jspcreate7 ай бұрын
I agree sometimes it is good to watch without sound when others are around. The written pattern is on my blog for free and you can follow along with that with the video sound turned off. To slow it down go into the video settings and choose playback speed and choose .75 or .5 to slow down the video. KZfaq will remember this setting though so you will have to change it again if you want to watch other videos at regular speed. Hope this makes it easier for you to follow along. Enjoy
