Thank you so much Carrie! I have this exact same yarn and I'm trying to make my aunt something who lives in another state, so i want to use a pattern with the same yarn bc I''m not an advanced crocheter and do not want to mess anything up with sizing! Lol you're a life saver! She will love this top!

Am in the beginning of making this now. I am on the left front and in the shaping the neckline section. Just want to confirm that 1 stitch is a shell stitch? I am only up to 18 shell stitches so far and when I look at the tutorial, it seems, judging from the shape in the tutorial, that I should already be at the 43 stitches needed for the size I am making. Can you please advise if I am counting the stitches correctly? Thank you. Love so many of your patterns that I have browsed through and am looking forward to making more of them.

no a stitch is a stitch, de shell stitch is 3 stiches.

@@taniamornie7935 Thank you. I finally figured that out. The pattern refers to the shell as a stitch….should be just referred to as a “shell”. Anyways, I love the pattern and am well on my way. 🤗

I am trying to make this for my granddaughter. She measures 31.5” across her bust. The small shown is a 34”. How many chains do I need to start with. Thanks 14:54

by now she is probably a 34 inch.
