I have been looking for inspiration to make something with the Ukrainian colours, and I think this will be perfect. I shall be doing the first two rounds in yellow, and the third and fourth rounds in blue, which I think will make the eight 'petals' stand out beautifully. Thank you for showing the FPB so clearly; I shall now go back to the written pattern. Thank you very much for sharing this unusual pattern!

This is so easy to follow! I'm still novice. I've made a small blanket and one amigurumi project but I've never attempted a granny square. I have soooo much white yarn to use and this stitch is so pretty. I can't wait to make a blanket out of this!
