This is beautiful..however that stitch is not a dc. It is an extended dc. Pulling through one loop then two and two. Extended dc.

Yes I’d like to add that the stitch you used in the second row is called a front post dc ( fpdc). What a great pattern. I am wondering if it could work in the round.

Great stitch and. Great video too. Doesn’t matter what the stitch might be called, it’s just a simple matter of watching the video, and following instructions and there it is. No problems? I’m saving this for future reference too.

It actually does matter because if someone is a beginner and doesn't know the difference they may attempt to do other projects this way and have tons of trouble because they don't know any better. So yes it matters. I've been crocheting since i was 8 so 49 yrs experience. It matters always knowing one's stitches and how to make them correctly. 😊

Попробовала этот узор, но вместо провязки сначала петли в петлю а затем столбик с одним накидом, вязала сразу столбик с двумя накидами. Разницы не увидила.

Those are NOT DC stitches. "Extended" DC perhaps - but not DC. DC is - with one loop on hook, YO. Insert hook in top of stitch of previous row, YO and pull through loop. You now have three loops on your hook. YO and pull through TWO loops on hook (one), YO and pull through last two loops on hook (two). THAT is a DC. Similarly with TC. With one loop on hook, YO TWICE. Insert hook in top of stitch of previous roow. You and pull through loop. You now have FOUR loops on your hook YO and pull through TWO loops on your hook (one). YO and pull through next TWO loops on your hook (two). YO and pull through last TWO loops on your hook (three). THAT is a Treble Crochet (TC). You always pull through TWO loops on your hook. I have no idea what that stitch in the video is called - but it's NOT a DC - as it pulls first through ONE loop - then two loops, then the last two loops - so it's more like either an extended DC - or a short TC. But it is definitely NOT a DC. And if this is supposed to be a teaching tutorial for beginners - the terminology and directions should be crystal clear. PS - I've been crocheting 70 years .. . . Also - look in any Diagrammatic book on crochet stitches. You'll find that what I've said above is totally accurate.
