6am, I started at the southern part of the beach, just past the mangroves and did the whole length to the northern mangroves. Picked up 20k in kills, fast travelled back to outpost, reset time to 6am and went again and again and again. The hunting pressure is obsolete there. You go back and its stacked with crocs every time. Mostly 5-7's, with a few mythicals and the odd legendary. Absolutely best way to grind cash & XP. I made 200k yesterday and levelled up around 5 times. And you can do it anytime between 4am-8pm, you can take out a couple of foxes en route to the beach and banteng are available to the side. Goldmine of a place.

Saltwater crocodiles are definitely my favorite species to hunt, along with Hog Deer. Crocodilians are one of my favorite animal species, and the fact they made them hyper aggressive in Cotw is phenomenal. Excellent guide, by the way!

.308, .270, .30-06 are plenty sufficient for the crocodiles with one shot in the lungs and ammunition is cheaper so you're a lot more efficient

I would actually recommend aiming for neck shots on crocs most of the time. They have very high HP, and a neck shot will drop them instantly. They have thick neck vertebrae making it easy, this prevents waiting for floaters as well. You can also brain shot them without losing integrity but I find that less consistent. The general way I do it is to shoot the neck, if I miss I then correct to try to get a lung shot. If they charge, they always stop for a second if you dodge, this gives time to shoot their neck point blank, I use the Couso shotgun with slugs as defense. I have been following a similar route and have already gotten a max weight max score diamond grey Saltie and a 2nd diamond grey one, they're probably my favorite species in the game.

One suggestion: The river delta that you skipped over is actually absolutely filled with crocodile rest zones, one about every 80 meters or so. Take a .454 handgun with you since they can sometimes attack in twos and threes.

Can you make a video explaining the appeal ? I've tried playing this before but bounced off pretty quick, mostly I was walking around at slow speeds, deers would flee when I saw them. Or I'd follow some tracks for 10 minutes then maybe kill something or never find it and give up after getting frustrated. I tried for 2-3h and just couldn't get into it, was I missing something, or playing incorrectly ? You seem to enjoy it, I think I'd enjoy it if I knew how to play properly in a non boring manner. Could you maybe make a video explaining how to have fun playing it for new players ?

I didn’t expect you to make content on a hunting game. I used to play RDR2 and I loved the hunting aspect so i’ve been thinking about buying a hunting game recently, maybe i’ll check this one out.
