The Combatribes is a nice beat em up. It looks good and is fun for two people to play. The only game i have played in this collection.

I remember playing Double Dragon 3 on the Amiga, and finding it...okay. The gameplay was a bit janky, but on the other hand, the game felt more varied and imaginative than the first two. I also don't remember any slowdown. Could this be an emulation issue? It seems weird that the arcade version should perform this poorly.

It seems you are right. Doing a little bit more research, it looks like it's not just the Amiga version, most home computer/console ports seem to play better than the original arcade version.

Wow, nice job as always! For me, this is one of the weakest collections ever for the system: "Double Dragon 3" is incredibly ugly and it represents one of the worst arcade games of all time (why this utter sh*t and not the first Double Dragon?), "Battle Lane" is too stupidly hard to be enjoyable in any way, "Mania Challenge" is too simple and pointless, "Minky Monkey" has the the AI trick you described who ruins the whole game. Personally, I'll put "Block Out" in the middle: it's not a bad game (sometimes I still play it on this cart) but the X/Y/Z orientation is always confusing and doesn't make any sense. "Double Dragon II" is good even if too hard at times (I've never liked Double Dragon, but the 2nd chapter is good on both Arcade and NES versions), while the only really phenomenal game for me is "The Combatribes", with those satisfying sound effects and an unbeatable arcade charme. I've never tried "Mysterious Stones" that much just because of my bad perceptions about the rest of the games, but tonight I'll try it again for sure, if the game is that good to deserve the 1st place for you. ;-)

@@CrowContinuum that's a good question, my friend! I think that the answer could be found in the fact that a Technos Arcade 2 would be more appealing with a Double Dragon bundled in, instead of the third installment. But that's just my opinion about it.
