For setting the tiny ones, which stupid me bought now after seeing this, it should come with a tiny hammer for you to take out your frustration when it does not set properly! LOL

I am so happy to have this. I'll be able to save it and refer back. I have trouble with the Cropodiles, which is usually my error! Thank you for this.

I do love your videos Ms. Julie. I, too, have some issues with the small eyelets. It’s not just you. Sometimes I have issues with the larger ones as well. 🤣. So, keep making your wonderful videos. 😘💗😎

I love the way you talk and you have great info. You are one of my two loves on here for my little garbage art. Oh yeah, tattered is my other love. I didn't know paper was my niche, I just found out. I'm 48.

I finally ordered one of the smaller ones last night from Amazon while it was on sale. I’m so excited for it to get here! I’ll be putting eyelets in everything 😂

Thanks for showing this Julie, you've actually saved me some money this time 👏😂 I love my hand held one and was thinking of getting the big one, but think I'll stick with what I have. I will say that I struggle with the smaller eyelets too, they never seem to set neatly for me either. Seeing that you have the same problem makes me feel a lot better 😆 It's just very odd that we both have that same issue, be interesting to see if anyone has any tips for us 🤔

This is really helpful - thanks! I've got the Crop-a-dile Big Bite. I have found the backs of the eyelets to be really rough, and usually cover them with a paper reinforcer. Having watched your video, I am going to try the nipple rather than the hill - your rolled edges look really neat! Thanks for the tip.

Julie, when I contacted the We R Memories rep to ask why the back sides of the eyelets were rough when using my Crop-a-dile, she told me the Crop-a-dile was created for scrapbooking use, not for journal making. Hence, they were created to have a smooth front-sided appearance. They were not intended to be used in such a way that the backside of the eyelet was to be seen or touched. Nonetheless, I'm still not pleased with my investment. Live and learn, hopefully!

So is there no crop a dile big bite 1? The advantage of the Big Bite is that it would work great for punching holes in the spine of a journal.. it can easily reach the middle holes you want to put in the spine

I have the same 20 year old Making Memories 1/8” eyelets as well! I have them in 12 of the portable plastic cases like you had and an organizer with 36 more colors. I’ve always been too frustrated with my results and never even opened my brand new green mini crocodile case until a few days ago. I was so inspired by your videos that I decided to find the sets and practice. I have around 3000+ to use up so if I mess up no big deal right?

Hi thank you for the video! Would you say it can punch through acrylic and hard plastic without cracking them? I've been interested in getting one to use on acrylic and hard plastic phone cases to make DIY Loopy Cases!

I have both. Really, the only one I use is the Cropodile 1. The big bite of the Cropodile II is useful if you want to put a brad or eyelet the middle of a page, which doesn’t happen often. Both are heavy, but the Cropodile II is very heavy, and I agree, upside-down. I feel I it was a waste of money. My mother prefers the Cropodile II because her hands are very arthritic and have no strength to squeeze the Cropodile I, she can set it on the table and operate it from there.

Not just me then Hannah. I honestly wish I hadn't bought it, but then I would probably still be in awe of it and long for one, 😅 If I get my big hammer from the toolbox I can make a hole with the metal stick type hole puch wotsits 😊💜

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns good demo on the “what’s it”. I have one of those, and haven’t tried it.nI also just found a Japanese screw punch at a thrift shop, new in the box!😭 I’m afraid we are alike, Sis, in that we have to own the gadget, for one. Also, bookbinders are always punching holes in unlikely objects at all times, trying to turn things into covers and pages, just for fun!🤣🤣🤣😂😭

I ordered the big one because it was on sale for $59.99 CND (yes our prices are ridiculously expensive) and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow so I thought it best to learn what I can before it gets here so I don't have to spend a lot of time reading instructions. lol By any chance does it come with some eyelets you can practice with? I ordered the small eyelets as I thought I was going to be getting the small one but that now is on hold for a Christmas present when I visit the States.

Have you used a screw punch for making the holes? I’m wondering how they would compare. I had been looking at the cropadile II for the long reach on the hole punching as I have not seen an alternative with a long reach.

Hi Lisa😊 No I've never tried one, but I too have looked at them. The one you have to whack with a hammer does go through the chipboard if I whack it with a bigger hammer🔨😁💜

Really helpful video. I've had the smaller cropodile for a while but recently bought the larger one (from marketplace for £15!) So I could make holes further into tags etc. It came with loads of eyelets which are larger than the holes it makes yet the instructions say it can be used with these eyelets...any ideas? I am so pleased I didn't pay full price, as like you, for that money I would be cross it doesn't work every time!
@CameliaCraftsDesigns

You got a bargain there. But like you say good job yoy didn't spend full whack on it. I have some eyelets bigger than the holes, so what I do is punch a second time after moving the card I'm punching ever so slightly, so it makes my hole a tiny bit bigger. I repeat this as often as needed until my hole is bigger. It won't look perfect but the eyelt covers it up. Hope that helps Sam. I'll show it in a video when I remember😏😁💜
