It's so interesting to hear how some fights transpire, with the pre-punch negotiations. Obviously, not all are like that. I think hockey now has some of the best access to fans.

At least Sid has the balls to fight, unlike some other stars of the game. Ovi . Claudette Giroux.

and before you try to argue, go watch giroux vs. svatos. the dude doesnt back down for anything and can throw haymakers. god damn you deepthroating penguins fans are fucking PATHETIC. no one cares how skilled crosby is. he's not a true hockey player and is the EPITOME of a pussy ass hockey player.

***** how the hell do you know what i have or havent done? regardless, fighting has been a fully integrated part of hockey since its beginnings. enforcers a critical part of a hockey team to defend the star players of the team. the playing aspect and fighting aspects of hockey are not related and not interchangeable. defensemen are on a team because theyre big, intimidating, can lay on checks, and can block shots. they almost always have some stick talent but are singled out to the defense positions because of their size. these people are usually also called on to defend the stars of the team from dirty checks and plays. the reason why crosby is a pussy is because hes a captain who refuses to fight. hes a team leader who is supposed to lead by example and show vigor and get his team going. captains are supposed to embody the badass qualities of hockey players. look at some of the greatest captains in nhl history. gretzky, lemiuex, clarke. none of them were afraid to get big with the other team, but all were still unbelievably talented. you have never even researched hockey and learned the meaning of fighting so you should probably shut your mouth "kid".

***** kid..I see you know absolutely nothing. First of all Grezky never fought. He had people to protect him. Also he had a body of a girl so there was no point for him to even try to fight. Why did you even mention him? Secondly, Sid refuses to fight? what a bullcrap, you should watch this then: watch?v=GWp2Mx_fSk4 ..also you are emphasize fighting too much. As I said you clearly haven't ever played hockey. Captain is someone who tries to prevent brawls, not get into them. Enforcers are a different thing.

***** Wayne Gretzky dropped the gloves once in his 23 years and Neal Broten dropped him like a bad habit also Gretzky had personal bodyguards like Dave Semenko,Dave Brown and Marty McSorely most of his career-bad analogy and this from someone who has been watching hockey since the 70's

@soccer87girl fighting is part of the game.It happens all too often where guys have fought and then have become teammates.I guess it's an understanding that what happens on the ice stays there...

Just from how he talks, it sounds like he is asking his girl (or boy in Crosby's case) out or if he/she wants to have sex.
