Best dinking tip I got… the ball will bounce, reach its apex.. hit the ball when it’s began its descent. You’ll be amazed by how much this slows the game down and allows you to control your shots

"Never cross over"? . . . Never say never! Sometimes you've got to (just like you did at timestamp 5:18).

I agree about never crossing over, but I would add never cross over on the forehand. Where he did cross was on the backhand for a more natural shot. One thing I focus on is telling students if you paddle follow through goes above the net so will the ball. Good point on the 3 contact points.

I am NOT a high level player, but I disagree on some points. "Aways" aiming for the outside corner is not the best strategy, especially forehand to forehand. More points to be had if you aim for the foot on the backhand side. Also saw someone state that if you are not making somebody move on a dink, you wasting potential. Just my thoughts. YMMV

I am trying to follow my own advice! Given the limited court space where I live, it is surprisingly difficult to find time and court space to drill as much as I would like to.@@DavidDouglas-vo7km

Yes getting your opponents uncomfortable by any means...not being predictable is more effective!

Keep moving your opponent around. The opponent in the video was way of the line which makes his job harder. Keep hitting to my forehand and I’ll take advantage of it!

Great video! Curious, why would you face your body perpendicular to the net. Why wouldn’t you shift and angle such that your body is facing the path of the ball in a cross court backhand dink?
