Even after all these years, I still think of B-Daman. In my own fanfic headcanon (not writing it, don't ask), I see the five dragons as being elementals, specialized creatures designed for specific terrains, while still being KICKASS DRAGONS. Dracyan, the blue dragon of water. Dravise, white dragon of wind. Dragren. red dragon of fire. Drazeros, the black dragon of darkness. Dragold, the yellow dragon of LIGHT.

back in the day these bdaman were available for like 10-25 USD but now they're upwards of 90 so I wish I had my old bdaman in one piece but they're all broken

I always think if its possible to do a full wing mode which basically having additional wings of Smash Dragold and place them on every area where each wings would be placed on Smash Dragold Normally. (For Power Mode, Control Mode, and Rapid Fire Mode combined)

Can you buy online? Or in your local stores only? If online, I'd prefer you find a Rising Dracyan or Drive=Garuburn. If you're really lucky, you might find a Spike=Phoenix. If you have the eS line of the series in your local stores, try to find Rising Dracyan or Drive=Garuburn. If not then get Accel Dracyan or Spin Leohjya or Leo.
