after seeing johnny/gyro v.s johnathan/will, its really interesting to see how the opposites react to each other johnathan says they were willing to do anything to win, while johnny says they were more noble and had more integrity than him and gyro. atop that, will scolds johnathan for going headlong into the fight, while gyro says they should just leave and not care. this basically sums up the mirror universes of eachother and how both araki's writing had grown and how different the past and present are, with PB being a "knight fighting evil vampire monsters" cheesy story with a cast of honorable heros in the party, while SBR is the polar opposite of being morally grey with everyone having a good reason for what theyre doing, heros and villains.
