I'm binge watching and working my way through all your videos and love your first one! It's fab 😊 looking forward to seeing all your projects as I watch your stitching journey. It's so nice to see others passion for stitching as I don't know anyone in "real life" who stitches!

Finally -a cross stitch vlog - thanks. I too am doing the Woodland Sampler and the Spring Sampler - much fun - I just purchased it a week ago so am on February now - have most of my blocks all stitched . I have been stitching since 1988. I never use a hoop - too cumbersome , plus you have to try and get the marks off ; . I just roll it on one side up to where I need to stitch and go!!!. Try it - I don't think you need to invest in a standing hoop unless you have a huge project,

New Subscriber! Hello from Australia! I may make videos about papercrafting, but I LOVE cross stitch too! It's always nice to meet other stitchers; I am a serial starter, too! :-) I love the projects you are working on and I can't wait to watch your other videos, TFS!

Nice video! I really like to see what other people are working on, their stitching space, & how they organize their supplies. Anxious to see how you like your floor stand.

I have never done plastic canvas. I have some that I purchased on sale just have never done them. Lol thanks for the compliment on my accent, sometimes it just makes me feel like a "hick" lol.

Thanks so much!! I hope to make more videos, I just get a little nervous in front of the camera and still feel a little silly talking to the camera instead of a person :) You should upload some videos of your work. I would love to see others progress and tips too!

My ex mother in law used to do plastic canvas and cross stitch. She did some huge projects. She was quite good at it. I love your accent. =-}

Do you mean staying in an 8 to 10 with the floor frame, or tension on a hoop? I have a 10 inch no slip that I LOVE and have become spoiled to, I used a "plain" hoop the other day and got aggravated with the tension. I think the one I like is actually a "quilting" hoop it has a tongue and groove in it that keeps the fabric from slipping. They have all different sizes but they are a bit pricey. I like the q-snaps too!

@butterflyjonesful I can't stitch in hand, I have tried my hand ends up cramping like CRAZY lol. I am looking into a floor stand not really a hoop stand, more of a floor stand so that I can try to stitch with two hands.

8" AND 10" Hoops I have all sorts of hoops too but I always go back to my light 8 or 10 just what my hand feels better holding...you can see some of my hoops etc in one of my vids hope this helps Xx

I have a vid showing lots of hoops etc I had the original q snap frames and I have to say I found them very heavy to work with not my cup of tea hope this helps... I use thinner hoops I think if you stay with hoop sizes between 8" or 10" it will be better to work with but I do have a thin round floor one I use for bigger projects but not often...Xx maureen
