very very nice landing

8-10 is pretty tame for that plane. The sooner you get your approach speed set and settle into a nice side slip, the easier it is to hold the slip, speed, and glide to the ground.

HSI GPS course set for another runway?

Troutdale doesn't have a lateral guidance/RNAV approach, however, I could have dialed in Garmin's visual approach guidance which I do quite a bit because of smoke during the summer.

Turn co-ordinator is shot, spinning too slow.
@AircraftWings3 жыл бұрын
It was. There is a turn-coordinator on the Gi-275. After this video I had the AP installed and had a new TC installed too. All good now, :_)

A tad too fast on final approach, but nice video overall. Thanks!

Was he using any flap or not?
@AircraftWings3 жыл бұрын
The approach was a bit too fast. Usually like 78-80 knots on short final. Basically, right at touch down I had it slowed down to about 65 know which is right above stall. Still could have ran it a bit slower.
@AircraftWings3 жыл бұрын
@@flybobbie1449 Yes but only 25 degrees. It variable winds like that I will most likely have it at 25' not 40' of flaps.
@flybobbie14493 жыл бұрын
@@AircraftWings I would go 40, Arrow is a flying brick, it would cope full flap.

@@AircraftWings App. speed not a problem so long as sensible at threshold.
