You guys came through a week or 2 after us by the looks of it, what a massive difference big red was. Solid effort, nice vid mate👍

Thanks mate. Big red was chopped up and all that water was crazy. Apparently it's pretty bad at the moment.

What an awesome video Marty. That's quite ballsy stuff indeed. I wouldn't be comfortable doing it myself, but then I have not 4WD or off-road bike experience really. Hey one thing that worried me a little was you filming the cars drive by you. If they suddenly slid out a bit you might've got hit. Just be careful buddy.

Thanks, Yeah there was one car that did not know that I was there. Most car drivers were communicating on the UHF and we would give them notice that we were coming their way as a heads up, also our support drivers relayed info to them. But yes it would be easy for something to go wrong and it's a long way from medical care.

Great video mate very enjoyable. Love the montage, we appreciate your hard work. Much drier during our crossing Ayre creek was passable 500 meters south of main crossing. Heck that was an interesting approach to big red 😅

It was not the best approach to Big Red. I will do it differently next time and with more speed. I hope all is going well with your journey, let's catch up soon,

@@HardPackedADV No you did well mate, I was referring to the inland sea as you approached. Yes having a great time. The horse trailer you saw seems to have been abandoned. Unfortunately the CSR is flooded so that is a bit of a bummer I was looking forward to it.

Oh yeah for a bunch of average riders we killed it. Perfect conditions might have helped.

hey there just a question im looking for an affordable adv bike should i get the drz400 or the klr650?
@HardPackedADV
@HardPackedADV 27 күн бұрын
Depends on what style of riding that you are looking to do. KLR 650 for more distance/hard top but it is a very capable bike, I have had two KLR's and have done a fair bit of off road riding on it. DRZ for more off road, it's lighter so easier to maneuver and pick up, but not as good on long distance rides. Also check out the CF Moto 450, I reckon that if you are considering a KLR also look at this bike. CF Moto cheaper to purchase, I think more power, lighter, good electronics, heaps better brakes, suspension etc and they are getting really good reviews.

@@HardPackedADV thank you for taking the time to respond i will probably end up doing 70% road 30% off road so the klr 650 is for me i think especially the adventure model the reliability of the cf moto still remains unproven the Suzuki and the Kawasaki are safe bets so yeah

@@bushmaster9576 check out a KZfaq channel called Swanky Cat. He has a bit of KLR stuff.
