I just realized that when he got to that office based maze. Those safe zones were actually salt rings to protect him from the big deformed crow, that acted like a demon. Sense death happens to be represented by crows/ravens.

When you get stuck on the world with the crows grave, you can also pause the level and select exit game. The creepy thing will still chase you, and you won't move forward; but if you wan't to explore something else before moving on to the creepy part you can do that.

3 friendly observations: Firstly, have you considered the code to possibly be braille? Secondly, all the blocks in block level spell crow 64. Thirdly, when you collected 64 silvers (as in Crow 64) the level made that chime and the knight pieces stopped moving. When you then collected the 65th, it made the second chime. Curious.

Those "summoning circles" that protect you from the big crow are actually probably salt circles because it is believed that if you stand in a circle made of salt then a ghost can not harm you while u remain in the circle, unless of course the circle is broken

43:23 it reminds me of "touch-typing" (not sure about the english name for it). If you haven't heard about it it's a type of writing where instead of letters they use little dots to write things. It is mostly used on medicine (atleast in my country), and it's for the blind people so they can read the medicine too. (The dots aren't really viewable, but you can feel them on the paper as you touch the box.)

a jump scare can honestly be in any shape or form. to me the quiet jump scares are the worst because there is NO sound to know whether or not its going to happen. But thats just my opinion on which is worse, but jump scares can be anything that quite literally scare you and make you jump :)

The silent definitely hit different. Loud noises may be effective, but I'll admit silence is often more discomforting. It's one thing to go "RAAAAAAAAHHHHHH *insert spooky thing here that accompanies noise.*" It's another to just have the thing silently come at you and do its spooks with sudden silent image.

Issue with many of your points. He didn't jump scare. He walked through a wall. Being surprised is not really a jumpscare. Ones expection being subverted is not a jump scare.

43:30 ngl my first thought to the dots n dashes was to think Braille, since the dots aren't in a straight line but paired together in a type of pattern, and Braille is structured with several dots in specific patterns. I'm unsure of whether dashes are involved since I don't use Braille myself,,, and braille isn't usually the go-to for arg video games,,, but I thought it'd be useful to bring it up anyway, since it shared similarities to the code! Anyone who knows more about Braille is welcome to share information! My knowledge is pretty surface level, so it'd be great to learn more and also let others who know more talk about the subject,,,

Hello! Braille is also (normally) structured in a 6x2 grid to keep uniformity to the letters and does not involve dashes so I highly doubt it’d be braille.

I can relate 100% Ash! I used to be scared of driving, I never took drivers ed in high school. It really made me feel insecure and one of our friends/church members wanted to help so she paid for me to take a private drivers ed course; which I stopped doing after having a panic attack while driving. I was like 3 hours short of “finishing”, but i wasn’t ready. I felt guilty cuz I “wasted” the money that our friend put towards it. (She never thought that) A couple years later, I get married and my husband kept pushing and pressuring me to get my license (as did his family). Fast forward some years later, I’m divorced, happier, and I’ve had my license for a year! I ended up studying for my written test to get my permit then got my license. I’m 32 now. ❤ I love driving now and never thought I’d say that or behind the wheel.

31:23 An image of a head CT scan pops up for one frame when Crow's killed by what looks like a giant crow on stilts(?). It looks like there's a massive tumor, or at least some irregular mass, in the right parietal lobe. I'm struggling to make out what Crow turns into when he dies this time. It looks totally different from the other death screens. Maybe a brown burial shroud over Crow's body with the edges of the wings sticking out from underneath? I'm at a loss, to be honest.

Something interesting I noticed. When you'd die to like the chess piece or the purple guy, you'd just fall on the ground, still look like yourself and respawn, but when dying to the stretched crow monster thing, you'd fall on the ground and look...burnt maybe? or crushed?

Remember the PC keyboard and keypads from the hidden chamber under the flower patch you discovered at the beginning of the game? The letters on the blocks make me curious if anything would happen if you tried typing "CROW 64" on those keys, or some variation. Can't hurt to try, if you play again.
