When New Orleans-based sludge-metal quartet Crowbar descended on New York City's Gramercy Theatre earlier this year as support for Corrosion of Conformity, Revolver's film crew was there to capture all the action. Led by the riff master himself Kirk Windstein, the band's 40-minute set featured such crushing heavyweight classic as "All I Had (I Gave)," "Planets Collide," "Like Broken Glass" and more. Crowbar are so underrated. When we talk about great metal bands that have stood the test of time Kirk never gets mentioned. Awesome live and one of the nicest dudes you could hope to meet.

Shane's one helluva bassist. Fantastic musician. Kirk got the right guy 100%. Can't wait to hear what he brings to the table for the new album. All hail the mighty Crowbar🤘

I see a few comments about how underrated Crowbar is to metal, which I completely agree with. But, I also think they are completely underrated in the hardcore community as well. Riff wise, Crowbar has such an influence musically and stylistically on hardcore. Especially heavy forms of hardcore like beatdown. Such an incredible band!

Saw them two nights ago in Milwaukee. Saw Kirk casually walking through venue. Gave him a "Yeah Kirk" and a fist in the air. In a deep, yet subtle growl, he responded "What's happenin". Legend. Awesome show of course.

Technique is pivotal to Good Sound "How Kirk & the Band Plays" .. Not only do they Sound Huge but frequency, you can hear everything everyone's doing, it Cuts. I'd imagine he's not Overly EQ'd, etc? I saw them once, a young girl was doing their Sound .. one of the best I've seen? Thanks for the Show man!

My son works with Tommy Buckley (at Metal Shark 🦈, thee most Metal named business ever) building boats. He gives my son (who’s also a drummer) drums sticks from his band and others! Tommy’s fuckin cool

Of all of Crowbar's catalog going back to the early-90's they really don't have a bad album. There's 4 albums though I would recommend to a newer fan. Crowbar [Self-titled] (1993), Broken Glass (1996), Odd Fellows Rest (1998), and Sonic Excess in it's Purest Form (2001). I would check out more of their live videos too. Resurrection Fest 2014, and Wacken Live 2017.

Crowbar ! Check Out The Gear ! It's funny bcuz, I have a very definite feeling that Metallica paid for it. The Gear & a F- Load More ! I don't how Metallica made the mistake of stealing Crowbar's Album Cover. However, they paid for it Big-time ! I've seen several interviews with Kirk Windstein & He mentioned Metallica in everyone. It's called a Freudian Slip. Good 👍For Crowbar ! Especially, The Guys that were in when, 'Odd-Fellows Rest,' was Released. I think that's why, "Sexy-T," aka Todd Strange, "Exited Stage Left: with the emphasis on Left." 😄 He was The Founding Bass Player with Crowbar, since they were: 'Requime' then 'The Slugs,' I thought that was a Cool F-ing Name for a Band. Crowbar was the name that was chosen to be: 'Crowbar.' Todd was also The Founding Bass Player of 'Down'. I couldn't believe that Todd didn't claim his, "Rightful Place." Rex Brown was standing in for him, however Rex was too sick to Tour. He had to Retire and that's when Todd should of been called in. Anyway, Only problem with the name 'Crowbar,' was; there was a Super Lame band in Canada 🇨🇦 that was named Crowbar & their is a Club near me in Tampa with the same name. With these Mainframe times 100 phones -that are out now -the confusion of the Pocket Computer is Gone. Stoked to see these guys again ! Once the Bass 🔊was tuned down, ( I keep writing the same words over and over ), it seems. They sounded really good. Those Sonar Drums are Top of the Line ! Dan Carey from 'Tool' plays on Sonar Drums. I believe he's considered the best Drummer in The Industry. Idk? If some other Drummer took that place, I'd like to know who's better than him.

@Dale Griffim Totally agree..But take heed..I am 43 and seen Crowbar when they originated in bars..Not the same every new guy plays a little different..Of course...All I am stating is facts.Any new members the sound is gonna be tweaked a little.I am glad they are still around..Origional drummer still is unmatched..went on to play for Black label Society for Years.....He left and BLS lost that hard snare and bass drum..Careful when you talk to an O.G. pit runner....D.R.I. Same thing list goes on...Bros before hos type thing.

Johnny Vegas Matt’s been in the band the past 10 years and T Buck the past 15 years. That’s pretty consistent lineup, imo.
