At some point, we need to accept that some folks were purposely failed by a system that increasingly sees public education as both a problem to defund and a business to privatize. This, of course, is before we get to the grand assumption that schools serve as glorified babysitting services. Those facts have shaped how children are taught, and they have since...honestly, since standardized testing began to shape curriculum rather than the reverse. When I see a list like this, I'm thinking that: • this is a young child who is super close to getting it right because the necessary syllables are there • this was written as a joke • this is an adult who was failed throughout their entire lives, but still has the capability to understand the syllables well enough to make it work. Of those things, the third is the worst becauae it puts that intentional failure on full display. I have faith in that third person, but that's because that third person is trying to break through the limitations and get their point across.
