CRT-TV Drums. The sound is produced by catching static electricity from a CRT with the hands and sending electrical signals through the body to a guitar amplifier 📺

ブラウン管ドラム。ブラウン管テレビの静電気を手でキャッチして身体を通して電気信号をギターアンプに送ることで音を鳴らす 📺
Different numbers of stripes change the frequency and the sound pitch.
縞模様の本数の違いで周波数が変わり音程が変わります。

I love that you can hear him slapping the TV screens. It is an electrical instrument, but you can still hear the physical percussive element. It gives it a much deeper sound and meaning.

You don't have to slap it with force. You only need to touch it to conduct the static electricity through your body and into a cable hidden in the outfit that is attached to a speaker.

@@Razebone the first cathode ray tube tv wasn’t popularized til nearly the 50s. everything is relative man. And yea we all know 100 years is nothing compared to the 13 billion years our universe has existed. what’s your point? The US has only been around for 250 years or so, so 100 years is quite a long time relative to the union.

How do the TV drums work would you ever do videos explaining how you make your instruments?
@racerxavier
@racerxavier 11 ай бұрын
They work by the drummer picking up the static from the tvs when he hits them, and there are wires in his outfit that transmit the static into speakers and/or guitar amps. By playing different horizontal stripe patterns on the screens, the static will make different sounds when touched.

Exactly, you really had to know an old cathodic TV to understand why it makes sound. When I was young if I keep my hand on the screen it will vibrate a little bit and so make a sound

@@Fopenplop I think that has to be circuit bending. Adding timers or resistors to get those sounds. Maybe a piezo transducer too? I have VERY rudimentary knowledge of this stuff. It just sounds like the Atari punk console to me and that’s just 2 555 timers and some passives. You can make some fun sounds with a piezo transducer too. Made one for my brother in law that lets you electrify an acoustic guitar. But put it on anything and it can make neat effects.
