Still one of my favorite quotes. I really like how at the end Kaneki's perspective of life and this world changes. The entirety of this quote just shows how much he developed from when the story started. Tokyo Ghoul is truly a masterpiece and till this day my favorite manga series. Highly recommend people read it

I can't say one is better than the other because they both had their moments, however Re: is super intriguing since you get to see more of a human side and the ccg's side. Plus the introduction of more characters allows the story to expand a lot more.

He didn’t always have Touka, he lost his dad, then his mom, continued when he had no one other than hide, lost his life as a human and his relationship with hide, had to start all over. Tortured, lost most of his friends and then his memories. He could’ve ended it whenever but he kept on pushing he saw past the pain and saw what he did have left and that what he had left was a family that he didn’t have before

@@bkilled2646 True, but he had help (he kept being chosen), especially from Touka, Hide and Yoshimura. Many people aren't so lucky and have to live without any support. My point is that suffering and pushing forward isn't always worth it.
