My dog, Bijou, came from this rescue. I worked as a volunteer for the Montreal SPCA, and when I saw how much spirit, that little black French Bulldog still had, I knew I had to bring her home.

Why the hell are people saying "Shame on Canada"? This happens in many countries, especially the U.S.A.! We're not all the same, shame on the horrible owners of the puppy mills, not Canada as a whole.

Puppy Mills are worldwide. Well Done for Canada and the USA people who bring this issue to the front. WELL DONE for all the people in every country for fighting against this problem. SHAME on puppy mill OWNERS! PLEASE CHECK LOCAL ANIMAL RESCUE CENTERS if you plan on adding to your family with a pet. PLEASE DO ALL THE HOMEWORK on what's involved BEFORE you commit to taking an animal in. Try fostering a similar pet first and ask any long time pet owners what's involved. Adopting a dog is for life

In my country in puppy mills the people who sell them feed them properly, walk them, sometimes when we were about to leave when the puppy mill store was about to close they play with the dogs for sale and sometimes even say goodnight to them... It's in tiendesitas.. The dogs were healthy and playfull!

It's not and that's why there's raids like this one. In Canada (and i'm pretty sure it's the same in the US) there's a limit of how many pets an household can have and standards that must be respected concerning the life conditions of these pets. When the authorities learns that someone breaks these rules, they raid. They arrest the owners, charge them with animal cruelty charges and the animals are confiscated and taken by shelters who tries to find new and more caring owners for them.

like many people have said its not just canada its every other country apart from those with regular checks where people regularly check the mills, slaughterhouses, animal test labs etc if every country did this it would be much more of a happy life for animals!

just wondering are these pups sold at pjs pet stores?
@lenalena11115 жыл бұрын
that was very good of you. never but a pup from a pet store. even ones that seems very nice most likely get their dogs from a place like this. and buying from a place like this is supporting cruelty. many stores will lie about where they come from as well

If you think Quebec is the only offender, you are sadly mistaken. Steinbach in MB is KNOWN for puppy mills. They are EVERYWHERE. Open your eyes, and open your mind.
@heynadia11 жыл бұрын
Yeh but there are so many lovely dogs out there in shelters who need homes we really don't need to be bringing so many new puppies into the world. There are waaay too many breeders out there

Every time I see things like this, I get depressed and upset. No dog or any other animal deserves to be treated like this.
@homer4k15 жыл бұрын
My God in Heaven - that was so disturbing. How could people torture dogs like that? My dog Snickers was also my best friend for 12 years. If someone had done that to her, treated her like in the puppy mills, well I would be afraid of what I would do to them. When I see how these people are exploiting dogs, who only want love and offer it unconditionally, then I am ashamed and disgusted to be of the same species as those people. Why is it that dogs are better people than people are?

This made me sad and depressed because I just remembered I got my puppy at a puppy mill :( I feel so guilty not telling the police on them. It's just I forgot. Anyways... now my puppy Frapy is a healthy 1 year old pekingese :DD She is super playful and just so sweet!! I love my puppy Frapy I am so lukcy I got her!! But.. still... the puppy mill :'(

The breaders should be put in jail for life and confiscated all their possesses to save/ medical expenses for those innocent furballs. Dear government please be so kind to ensure the safety of all animals.

there are many many places you can get one. try searching on google for an animal shelter or humane society in your area. where in canada do you live? shelter dogs are amazing. you can find healthy, adorable, loving pups there. dont be discouraged if you look at first and dont find what you want. there are many shelters out there. but where in canada do you live

What I don't understand is when the rescue societies work so hard to take the dogs out of deplorable conditions and try to fight the ever spreading greed of these people who run the mills etc.. After doing all this.. The Government in civilized countries do nothing? Why? It is obvious that the suffering is appalling. It is more than inhumane it is evil and is greed. We in Ontario, Canada cannot put weed killer on our lawns by law! But we can treat these creatures like this. Shame on our leaders

@Sakananechan13 жыл бұрын
@MagicPuppies Is our country totally blameless? Is it not our country that allows these puppy mills to not only exist, but to flourish? Is it not the citizens of our country who provide these people the money to continue running their mill? Is it not our laws that make it so difficult to shut down the mills and give out light, slaps on the wrists when someone IS convicted? It is not only the fault of the cruel people, but also the fault of the people who allow this cruelty to happen.

@CrunchyBrownie If you pay for the puppy though, you save one puppy and doom numerous future puppies because you have helped fund their puppy mills. If you don't 'save' that one puppy, they will not have the amount of funds needed to continue breeding and you will save numerous puppies lives instead of just one.

Sadly there are some puppy mills aloud to keep working because they are keeping the dogs in good health and care but still in tiny cages all day with no affection just breeding.

The United States has an even worse track record when it comes to puppy mills. Of course nothing beats the dog and cat fur trade in China, it is absolutely disgusting the cruelty done to dogs and cats in Asia.

Visited about 20 puppy mill in QC, in all case the dogs were treated better then our elderly. Why not ask this man how much he pocketed. IMF propaganda to take control of a hard to ex-torque from (tax) market.

tell people to spay/neuter their pets, tell people not to buy but adopt, ask people to watch these videos, make a lot of money so that you can help more dogs (medical expenses, etc.). Many people need to be educated.

@kymbee11111 жыл бұрын
Indeed Many do need educating but we also need much tougher laws to fight this cruelty everywhere - and yes it ALL takes money - Hell Money is why these concentration camps are in business in the first place and believe me they are getting more to continue than we are getting to fight them :(

To everyone threatening to shoot the person running this mill, I don't disagree with you. What they do to animals is sick and wrong on so many levels. But if we can't show basic human control to those we disagree with, how can you expect other, less sympathetic people to show humanity and care to animals? Think about it.

Stop breeding until ALL dogs having loving homes. I don't care how wonderful people take care of their dogs. There are too many homeless dogs. Period.

@lilbunneh12313 жыл бұрын
and they expect people to buy those dogs? puppy mills suck. this makes me want to go up to those people, lock them in a cage, not feed them for days and see how they like it.

If I ever find a puppy mill owner.. will kidnap him, put him in a cage and throw him in a barn. I might feed him once a week.
@willcsaintenay113 жыл бұрын
why shoot him in the leg, when you could blow him away permanently, we all know he will start another one, it is time the goverment got involved fined them more than they can earn selling puppies, so it is not feasable running a mill, and a 10 year jail sentence
@yangpeter16919 жыл бұрын
Probably rescued dog will now suffer from neutralization, removal of voice cords, tail cutting, ear cropping, cutting furs, and so many stuff.

Speak for yourself. Puppy mills are no better than concentration camps. I have an elderly parent, and he will NEVER ever be treated this way. Puppy mills are legal, elder abuse is not. Read more, and be nice to your parents.
