Все живи, самое главное.
Компании "Tallinnk" следовала бы задуматься, стоит ли выпускать судно в такую погоду, и как закреплены разные элементы на борту.

On the cargo ships I spent a few years on which often face very bad weather, much of the furniture was held in place by chains just long enough to be able to use them. Other equipment was secured at all times. These passenger ships are designed like hotels and naturally suffer in heavy seas.

Those Coke machines could badly injure or kill someone, from being crushed against a wall or - even worse - from being underneath one if it tipped over.

So that is Viking Line's former "Isabella", which Tallink just recently had purchased and renamed to "Isabelle"

Я плыл на таком пароме, может на этом, был шторм такой, что я думал реально на дно пойдём как будто в Титанике плыву, нас хотел соседний корабль ночью эвакуировать но из за волнения не смог подойти близко, секюрити все куда то пропали, летало всё, а когда образовался дифферент на нос и стал понемногу увеличиваться, судно развернулось и пошло назад в Таллин, по прямой к ближайшему берегу в начале и вдоль него в порт.Я сам воду видел на 5-й палубе, есть фотографи. Кармой с 3-4 раза сумел попасть на пристань,после этого мы узнали что сорвало антенну которая разбила илюменатор и сотрудник получил травмы, до Стокгольма мы не дошли, бесплатно покормили,предложили ещё раз попробовать сходить в Стокгольм, почему то все отказались), вернули деньги назад спустя время.Кармой стал скорее всего чтобы ни кто не видел реальных повреждений. Лучше самолётом летать.)

That was horribke but not nearly horrible as M/S Estonia. Ships didn't sink.

You ask a very naive question. It's a business. No one will cancel the flight, as this is associated with large financial losses. It's all right. This is a regular flight. We also got on DFDS ferry Oslo - Copenhagen in August 2010 in a powerful storm. The ferry hurled waves like a walnut, everything grinded, howled and shuddered. Everything that was not fixed was whistled in the air. And everything was fine. Only in the morning 75% of passengers could not come to the restaurant to have breakfast.

Мы пойдём на нём в Стокгольм через 3 недели, надеюсь они всё починили :))) Мне больше нравится Романтика, но на неё все каюты были уже раскуплены :(

owtena я думаю, они быстро все починили, чтоб людей не пугать. Даа, Романтика лучше, новее, комфортнее, мне тоже больше нравится. Очень странно, что раскуплены билеты, может какое то мероприятие намечается.

Fi lemon Мне как обладателю их Клуб уан карты прислали спец.предложение, где надо заплатить только портовской налог и по этой скидке все каюты на Романтику уже были зарезервированы (я только в январе увидела это сообщение, т.к. инбокс его в рассылки поставил, которые я редко проверяю). А платить полную стоимость не хотелось вот мы и согласились на Изабэллу :) Зато взяли каюту с окном :)))

I think that captain makes the decision to start the trip or not. So it's not companys fault. The captain and crew members are always responsible for the ship and passengers safety. If I had been the captain, I would not have gone to the sea that night.

Baltic sea has so little depth (average 80 meters) that big waves are super rare. The ships are built taller than their counterparts in oceans.

Those old boats that looks like Mariella and Amorella don’t deserve to sail these days! They have been used too long and they don’t even look good! Throw these pieces of junk away or renovate them!
